Good Luck next Thursday, Mark. I'm defiantly going to stop by and railbird for awhile. Which side of Lou do you think you'll be sitting on this time? LOL

    JOHNNIE

C'mon Johnnie... you know he's always to my right....

    Mark
  • Where is the update ? Who is going on?
  • Thursday March 9th Tom... NEXT THURSDAY!

    Mark
  • I wonder if anyone showed up last night.

    Rob?
  • I was passed out on the couch at about 7pm last night and I thought I heard the front door move, but no one knocked. So, I don't think anyone stopped by, but if they did and looked in the window I imagine the only thing they saw was some strange guy horiztonal on the living room couch with a pile of blankets on top of him. :)
  • I guess I am an ASS.

Must be my lack of ability to use the information around me that put me out on day 1.

I know Mario will suck out - its should almost be a law of poker :)
  • A quick request to the players out there...

Does anyone have a vehicle capable of transporting one of the tables used in the Lucky Lou tournament to my place (and then away when we're done) The tables are 10-player tables and I want to use that for the "final" table as it will look better on film and allow more privacy for players to record hands.

If you have something you can offer, please PM me. I'd like to get it to my place before the Day 2 on the 11th.

Dude you still can't be pissed.   I made a move to push you off the pot that didn't work in the beginning but in the end I came out on top. HEHEHEHEHE!
  • LOL - Ofcourse I am not still mad - your move nearly worked. It was very pretty Mario - I just wish you would have looked up like I had asked so I could fold :)

I ll get you back - I just think it was fitting - you being Mr. Let Me Calculate the Suckout Odds - I hope you make it to the final table of a major televised tourney some day just so I can hear that line. And the reaction of the Hosts :)

Commentator "Mario is pausing with 62 off on the button, what could he possibley be contemplating?"

Mario "One second I need to calculate my suck out odds"

Commentator "Suck out odds - Phil have you ever heard of this concept before"

Commentator 2 "This is truly unusual - and look at Ivey's face - I have never seen him with a look of confusion at the poker table he is generally so well reserved!"

Commentator "Indeed, this Mario really has this table on tilt with his unusual antics"
  • Thats F$%king funny!
  • Because you know it happend and that it would work.
  • While Mario is the king, stp isn't far behind...... maybe they attended the same math class...... Even tho he did boast he didn't suck out once the other night, while Mario definately did.
  • Thanks Joe.

Its nice that someone finally notice the "ROYAL" blood in me. LOL!

Geez you suck out on a person once when you almost had odds to call and you get this reputation...

I always go in with the best of it ;) And when I don't....see signature below.

Would that be the same math class where they promote getting all-in PF with Q rag suited?
I don't even think I've seen Mario do that
  • I 100% blame John Adams for my 10 place finish on day 1C. Seriously. I was on my way to day 2 until that man stepped out of his cab. Suuure, call my A10d with your KJ off...no prob, don't worry, that's a great all in call. Then, of course, hit your J. I love being beat like that. :h: Love it :h:.

Actually...I'm not mad at all because I have now been named the official host of the Legends of Bristol St. tournament :D. Rob only jerked me around for months pretending I wasn't going to get the role, and then told me the camera didn't like me after my exit from the tournament. I have nothing to say to that except you should all look forward to seeing my pretty face dominate the DVD. Shauna better watch out...

Good luck to everyone who's still in the game...I look forward to your exit interviews. Especially yours John Adams, especially yours.

    -Easy

PS Xuan, if you don't win I'll be really sad. You have to defend my honour as a lady and take out the rest of the men.
  • amanda i love you and i'm sorry.

thats really all i can say right now

Queen rag suited is a 52% favourite over any random hand. And with a chip lead I"ll call an all in with it since I do hit with it a lot for some reason. That hand for me is a lot like stp's sig.

That's because we don't seem to end up at the same table very often for some reason. That's why I put myself against you in the Royal Cup for the first 2 events. By the time you called all the way to the turn you more than had the odds to call. The biggest thing is I knew when that spade hit, you hit the flush. I paid to see what the hell you chased with. It only sux because you keep saying of my bets, I don't believe you LOL.

    12. “Psi” Sam
I've played with Sam once or twice, he seemed solid to me.

Yes, there will be announcers, music, as well as a host. There will be old favourites you've seen on TV and DVDs, as well as a few new surprises.

So someone please answer honestly, is Day D thought to be a bunch of weak players/unknowns?

Well let me give you my input on that question.  Here are the players:

    DAY 1D
    1. “Compuease” Jeff C
    2. “ddmilkcan” Dave D
    3. Larry L
    4. Bob S
This is the Milton Crew, they finished 3rd at the Royal Cup and just returned from Vegas.  I'd watch out for Jeff as he seems to really be playing well lately although any of these guys could make the final table.

    5. “Hork42”
An experienced and knowledgable player, barring a bad beat he'll be there for Day 2

    6. Frank
    7. Dave B
    8. Judy P
    9. Ken S
    10. Francine S

I don't personally know any of the above players, to my knowledge....
    11. “Blondfish”From what I know, plays mostly bar tournament but plays them well.  This tournament is not a bar tournament, way above the bar in my opinion!

    12. “Psi” Sam
I've played with Sam once or twice, he seemed solid to me.

    13. “magithighs” Lou
I haven't played with Lou very much myself but from what I've heard from players I really respect, he is the best player in this field.  He'll make the FINAL TABLE.  I would avoid him at all costs.

    14. “TiMSuM”
A member of the Royal Cups 2nd place team, the Kitchener Heart Break Kids.  This is his first appearance at Bristol and I'm wishing him well.

    15. “Haddon” Josh H
    16. “Demonrage” James C
    17. “DirtyWhore” Mark B
One of my picks to win the whole thing, a guy that is unreadable and can change gears when you least expect it.  Don't let his friendly yet obnoxious attitude get in your way of your goal, his chips!

    18. Dan L

    stp

Well the Milton Rocks, or most of us at least are back from our Vegas poker junket... (Trip report still owing, but will be done, hopefully with pictures, tournament blind levels/structures at various casinos, etc...)

Shannon, appreciate the comments, and yes Josh, the field on day 1D may look weaker to you, but you just made yourself a "bounty" target for the "insult".. LOL... $$. to whomever takes Josh out. (amount to be determined after private discussions between myself and my VP of assassinations, ddmilcan)

Shannon, good analysis of the day 1D field, couldn't agree more on your comments re Lou, he is the class of the field, along with yourself of course.. If I had to pick a dark horse however, it would be "2BULLETS” Jeremy".
The 3 or 4 times I have played at tables with him, he has been solid and very hard to read. I know he has stolen pots, just not sure which ones...

As for the Milton Rocks, we are bringing along both our A and B teams, will leave it to the rest of you to figure out who's who. The reason they are coming on Day 1D is that since we were in Vegas I didn't want to send them along earlier because if the "B" team took down days A-C en masse then poor Rob may not have even had a final day as the fear would have run rampant through the Bristol community.. At least this way a few of the Bristol regulars (other than the Rocks of course) have a chance to qualify while we're not there. We "volunteered" to have Lou play on the same day as us because he asked for a challenge..

Jeesh, it's getting deep in here.... I need sleep....
  • i am so pumped for this saturday...great tourny so far
