Pretty sure you can do it over the phone with your credit card but it will come out as a cash advance and you will most likely get dinged the credit card interest rate for cash advances.

Pretty sure that's not true, at least for TD Visa. I had actually asked about it at my branch but I never actually tried it. They told me that the cash advance fee is added automatically... This was about a year ago.
Looks like the satellites start on November 11, 2011 with most sats rewarding top 2 and one top 3 with 2 replays.
When somebody starts playing the Fallsview satellites, please post. Hopefully, they will finally have learned on how to run the satellites better compared to the five previous years where 10+ players and a dealer would wait the entire day just for the first satellite to start, then later another hour of waiting in the next satellite table to deal the first card. :rolleyes:
Satellite regulars who paid a lot of rake the previous year couldn't be bothered to grind the next year with so much time wasted. If only Fallsview could learn how to run satellites efficiently like the Rio and Venetian.

I had a very good weekend at cash table not so good with couple of satellites.
Blinds are very fast, and they can not get enough players to start.
Friday I put my name on list for $155. It took 5 hrs to get 10 players.
Sunday again 155 never happen till I was there.
It looks like 125 is being played more ofter.
My plan is to buy-in directly for 1k and play satellites for 2.5 and 5 k.
I just got back from fallview.. not only did I get my pockets emptied tonight (You win some you lose some, most times I win some so I was due to lose some..), but the ONLY real reason I went there in the first place was to play a satellite for the Poker classic.
Sat there at my losing table, bleeding cash for about an hour, went up to find out what was going on with the satellite for the guy behind the counter to have the nerve to tell me that they must have called my name and I missed it. TOTAL BS thank you!! Didn't miss anything, was listening for it because that's the ONLY reason I was really there.
Then he proceeds to have the nerve to tell me they've done 5 sats since I got there.. again.. TOTAL BS..
So I make sure my name is on the list and I go back and sit down at my HELL table.. I finally bust out about another 1.5 hours later to still not hear my name called for the sat I was waiting for ($125)... I go to the counter and they make it sound like they just started one AND DIDN'T CALL ME AGAIN!!
So after all that, he says I'm on the next satellite. Fine. I'll wait, the wait list is full and looks like it'll start any minute. Only for him to suddenly tell me that 4 people on the list are playing the $220 tourney at the moment so it's not going to start for awhile now..
I swear.. those people at fallsview must have all been dropped on their heads at one point. I wanted to play one of the classics this year, but I rather try to win my way up to it than drop 1k, 2.5k or 5k.. I don't know, maybe you guys will think I'm crazy after this post, but REALLY? GET A F*CKING GRIP FALLSVIEW..

Anyhow, I suggest you prepare for a cluster f*ck if you decide to go do a sat at Fallsview..

I spent last weekend at Fallsview also trying to get in a satellite. What a mess! No one knows anything about this years tournament and only talks about last years tournament thinking everything is the same. I was able to speak to a shift manager who mentioned that the guy who ran all of Fallsviews tournaments and who created the Poker Classic left a few months ago.
He also said that this guy was the one really pushing for a WPT tournament and that the whole thing fell apart after he left. Too bad because ON really needs a branded poker tournament.
Hopefully the tournament will be good this year but he said that some new person is running this years poker classic. Looks like things are off to a bad start this year.

I was there yesterday and Satty list was a mile long for each one where registration started at 11am. No satellite started until 4pm. So they expect people to sign up at 11am and wait around 5 hours to play. Most ridiculous set up ever. I don't care if people are giving away their money in the satellites I will not be playing them. I rather do a forum event with rake even.
Its unfortunate fallsview's room is run so poorly. Maybe someone needs to write an article and publish it in Pokerpro Canada or Cardplayer so they can get their act together.
not to get too rough, I go to seneca, get asked why i go there, because fallsview sucks....then they cant imagine how bad it really is....you can call there go to rainbow bridge and most times sit down when you walk in!!

You Can NOT play Super satellite for $2500 event. It over laps. horrible.
Called and they said 600. Crosschecked last results, 1k was sellout at 600.
2.5k prob hold the same, BCPC 3k had 470, so thinking 600 is safe.

Everything is terrible about the sats except one thing.
