Really? You think online MTT fields are as weak as live cash? I always assume that all online is tougher than live regardless of the discipline.

Up to a certain limit, yes.

Do you use any poker software to study shove ranges? If so, which ones?

In general, what do you think is a more important factor in mtts: chip preservation or chip accumulation?
(or do you think it depends a lot on field size?)

Who's your favorite pokerpwnage instructor to watch/learn from?

How excited are you for double guarantees week?

    1) I use the PT3 HUD, and open it up when I get ITM. I dont bother for early levels. When I get down to 3-4 tables I open all tables and let the HUD run. If I bink a final table I have decent stats on everyone.

    2) I dont focus alot on accumulation. Somebody said MTT are about putting yourself in a position to get lucky. So basically glide until your deep, and flip for some chips. Easy game.

    3) I liked Sketchy and NSB's videos because they were relevant. Ive spent more time at Savvy lately.

    4) Im gonna lose a ton. That said, I might play a little bigger this week b/c the bigger buyins will be overlayed.

    • Are you flattered that I opened this thread last this morning, like a Christmas present..or cocky and confident that it will be awesome?
    • "Family will be growing in the future"..is your wife pregnant?
    • What do you do for a living?
    • What does your wife do?
    • Do you love your job? If 'no' what would you like to switch to?
    • What is the drunkest you've ever been?
    • What is the sickest you've ever been?
    • If you had to puke on one person, who would you choose and why?
Lastly, I'm as good or better than 4 of the people on your list. Fuck you.....?

    1) I am confident it wont be the worst? I was anxiously awaiting your arrival tho.

    2) I am practicing for that event.

    3) I am a Operations Manager for a global courier company.

    4) She works for a bank at the corporate level.

    5) I dont hate my job. But nobody spends 4 years in university and says "I want to get into the courier business. I always wanted to be a teacher, but I got greedy. There is no money in education, unfortunately.

    6) The drunkest AND sickest Ive ever been was the first time I ever drank. I was 14. It started with a mickey of Peach Schnapps, followed by a 6 pack of Labatt Blue. I then smoked a cigar like it was a cigarette. Thats the last I remember....

    7) I would puke on the Queen. Honestly, who gets the opportunity to puke on the Queen?

If I came to more KW poker events Im sure you, or one of the people there, would be on the list.

As stated above, I hate live poker players, in a non social setting. I hate the way they talk their own versions of strategy, I hate the way they tell their bad beat stories (cause its ALWAYS a bad beat), I hate the way they generally dont want to learn and criticize almost everything.

Ex. $550 at Blue Heron last week. I am in the BB with 46 spades at 50/100. UTG makes it 250, 3 callers. I call from the BB. Pot=1250. I flop 2 spades. UTG bets 300 (1/4 pot). All folds, I call. I turn spades and value bet the river, etc.

He berates me for playing 46, cant fold suited cards etc, etc. Fuck off. For the next 20 minutes him and his buddy dont stop talking about it.

I like CPF. This is a community. RC is fun, nobody takes the game too seriously.

I am a member of P5's and 2p2. Most of my strat viewing comes from there. I contribute here to do my part, and learn a bit.

Oh, c'mon. Isn't raking in a nit's chips the best part of live poker?

When he's really mad and unfocused just tell him that joe told you to play 46...joe mama ftw.

    Sure, why not.

Does it make me a terrible person that I truly cannot wait to say this to someone?

Also how much do you think an epic high five after line-delivery would add?
eg: Should I consider paying someone to stay close next tournament?

If you had to sleep with either Carrot Top or Someone that you know has Chlamydia, which would you choose?

Please place the following girls in order from fugly to sexy:

    1) No. And I fully expect a TR after the fact. $5 props for anyone who can do it in a serious setting?

    2) Yes. Epic High Fives add value in any situation.

    3) Carrottop obv. a) hes in and done quickly. b) all the roids have probably shrunk it so I might not even notice.

    4) I dont know which one is the tranny but I hope hes not in my top 3.

That's an awesome angle as well, but I was going for a naturally occurring pattern that allowed me to use one of my many, many racist pics.
    • Have you ever been caught masturbating and if so, by whom and what was their reaction?
    • What is the oddest thing you've ever peed on?
    • Who from our high school did you tap?
    • If you were to be magically transformed into an elephant, how much do you think you'd love nuts? Salty nuts or natural nuts? Can you please describe how you'd eat them?
    • Do asian women really have less hair than other women when natural?
My porn lately has been very conflicting.
  • You have made some decent coin since your poker epiphany, so:

If you find yourself making more $$$ playing poker, than you do at work, will you finally start calling yourself a "pro"?

Ever see poker becoming your career?

Ever see yourself saying Fuck it, and quitting?
  • my mom brought me back a bottle of rice wine with an indian cobra and and emperor scorpion in it from vietnam but told me not to drink it....am i going to be okay because i feel messed?
  • Whats your vpip, 3 bet, and pr stats when you play mtt's

    1) Unfortunately, no. I am very ninja like. For some reason I think it would be awesome to get caught tho.

    2) I was at a buck/doe in Stratford once and peed on a fake plant in the corner of the banquet hall. I hope this counts as odd.

    3) I generally stayed away from WO girls, although there was a Bender, and a Jackson.

    4) In before I say I would love the nuts.

    5) I would love the salty nuts. I would suck off all the salty goodness, and then swallow.

    6) Yes.

    1) I dream of playing as a career. However I need another year of solid results to see if my winrate is real before I even consider it. Also, the legal status of online poker is concerning, and I anticipate it changing in the near future, for better or for worse.

    2) I dont see myself quitting. Ever.

I dont trust anything from India, so no, you're fucked.

I'll have to check my 3bet when I have access later.

    Overall I run about 18/14ish.

    No, this is standard.
  • Do you/have you participated in non-poker related forums to any significant degree?

If so, what type (no need to get specific or state what sites) of forums were they (i.e. what type of topics did they address)?

If for some reason, tomorrow you were made a mod on this site...what changes would you make, if any at all? This assumes that Compuease, and Westside8 (those are the only two folks with mod powers here arent' they? Other than Scoops of course) have departed...somehow. I am not asking who you would ban first, that would be obvious I would think.

No one's life is ever complete without having a bender.

When you leave Tavi is there ever a valid reason for returning?

How many Tavi dances did you attend? (I realize you're much younger than I am and that I don't know if they even occurred after I got out of high school)

In number, what is the biggest fight that ever broke out after such dance?

Are you related to Brad Wett_____?

    1) This is my virgin forum.

    2) I would eliminate trolls in certain areas of the forum. Grunching is OK. Trolling needs to be stopped.

    1) Other than family, no. Its like time just stopped moving there.

    2) Ummm, all of them. This is my fondest memory of growing up. Tavi dances > Shakespeare dances imo.

    3) There was one at Halloween about 10 years ago that had about 20 people involved.

    4) No, but I know him.
  • Did you play hockey in Tavi in the old barn?

If so where were you on this scale....1: being sad to see it go to 10: being first to volunteer to drive the bulldozer?

Rate the overall talent from 1-10 of the noodz that appeared at the Arlington/Smully's.

Any good stories from said noodz?

Are you related to Jeff (Cheese) Wett_____?
  • Tavi = Tavistock?

    1) Grew up playing in it.

    2) I was absolutely sad to see it go. The playoff atmosphere with the all encompassing seats was 1000x better than what it is now.

    3) Those were the absolute worst noodz ever. Worse than Vanastra, worse than Studio 9. Worse than Nikki's......

    4) I remember the first time I was there, there was a black girl named Sapphire. I will never forget her, it scarred me for life. She poured a glass of ice "inside herself", leaned back and shot them on to the stage. Whilst inside her the ice melted so what came out was a slush kind of spew that was absolutely horrific.

    5) Jeff, son of Jack - who is brother of Ron (my father). Cheese is my first cousin.

    Win.
  • You mentioned you were a manager, so I assume that means you conduct interviews?

Is there a single off-the-wall question that you always ask?

What question tells you the most about a person's personality?

What is the best thing you have seen on a resume?
    The worst?
  • Wetts1012 wrote: »

I think you owe me $5?

On a related note, do you find it surprising that I have been asked this identical question in 2 different poker rooms located in 2 different provinces?

    "Have you ever been stabbed?"

Damn I think one of my roommates my first year of vet school was an "aggi" from there -- Rod something? Likely married to Mary something who may also be from there?

This post is so full of win.

I will try to refrain from posing more questions from my unhealthy obsession with Tavi.

What question tells you the most about a person's personality?

What is the best thing you have seen on a resume?
    The worst?

    1) I do.

    2) Not really. I tend to turn interviews around to find out what the hell people are thinking: ie "Youre currently in a 9-5 position with x consulting firm, why are you interested in the courier business".

    3) Unfortunately, all the good questions Im not allowed to legally ask, so questions regarding former positions and reasons for leaving are very telling about a persons wants and goals. Also, questions about identifying future plans: ie "what are youre 3/6/12 month plans" tells me if someone is proactive rather than reactive.

    4) Pictures on resumes are win, I dont care what anyone says. Its so tacky, its cool.

    5) I had a gentleman send me a resume. Fine. He then applied for a job 3 months later with entirely different jobs. Also, spelling errors, even the smallest, tilt me to no end.
