I'm interested in the O8 tourney at Caesars at 3pm the day we arrive, thinking about it anyways. Same buyin...

Yeah...I'm considering it too, but depends when Mark and them want to hit the gun range too. Lets meet at the Bellagio buffet when we arrive that day?
  • Don't forget that the WSOP finale will be shown on ESPN on Tuesday.
The WSOP site will have a live AUDIO broadcast of the final table action this Sunday starting at 1 PM ET.

    JOHNNIE! TURN ON YOUR CELL!

I have a home phone too you know! I'll be around the house all day today, call when you can.
  • Note that when I tried to withdraw US dollars today for the trip, I was told that I have to give notice first and have to come back next week. The banks and some businesses are closed on Tuesday, Remembrance Day.

time for a safety deposit box to keep a little fun money from the Mrs :)
  • Yeah bank told me there has been a real run on US cash. Main BMO branch of Cambridge had only a single $100 bill. Give me break. Gave me traveller's checks for free though because they had so little cash.

That's what a casino front money account is for. :) It's too bad I have a zero balance in my Fallsview account. :-[

How much did you need? I was told before my trip this past July that anything over $1K you should give them 3 business days or so to prepare
  • Which is BS.

Agreed!! I have a US$ account and so far I've had no problems with it getting money, but I've never gotten anything over 1K.

Yikes, what ghetto ass bank was that? Also, if you are with TD you can request the foreign currency online and then choose a bank to pick it up at..
  • Ok for real drunk ass poker, how about giving the Excaliber daily tournies at the electronic tables.... Not much rake but should be good or a laugh to at least say we tried them... I can't wait to see what Blondefish's evaluation of them would be... :)

    9am: $18+$2 tournament
    1pm: $25 + $5 tournament
Plus a $2500 freeroll tournament per month for most frequent players. I guess they couldn't afford the $500 per day!

Wheelspin is back but for aces full or better (and not for cracked aces)
    Bad beat jackpot is back
  • I personally would like to try the e-tables... just for shits and giggles at the least

    +1.

What's the structure like for the $20 tournament? B-I-N-G-O!
  • It was TD! I asked on Friday if I needed to give notice to withdraw from my U$ account, and they said I have to wait until Monday for more than a couple of thousand. I didn't have this problem in June when I withdrew more than that, so moose is probably right that there has been a run on US dollars.

Sucks-calibur's f*cking electronic tables are for "douchebags, nitty fags & retards." ;)
It's +EV for the forumers at Las Vegas to be playing at separate tables and places anyway, so have fun at Excalibur.

If I can propose an alternate.. rather than it being a 'run' on the USD.. I'll bet that the credit crunch caused TD to reduce the amount of cash it has physically sitting at each branch..

  • Boys - I'm still in Chicago, getting back in tmr at around noon.

I'll give Mark/Jeff a text after we land to see where they're at and we'll hook up or something - either we can wait til the Mooses arrive to go to Todai together, or we can do brunch at Bellagio or something.

Shannon - PM me your flight #, and we'll meet up with you at your designated baggage claim area.

I only understand Celsius, so I looked up the temperatures as ranging from 9°C-26°C in Las Vegas. Remember to bring some warm clothing as the low will be around 0°C on Tuesday morning flying out of Buffalo/Detroit and possibly upon return. It can also be freezing sitting in the air-conditioned casinos, so I will bring a jacket and long-sleeve shirts. DrTyore may not want to go pant-less on this trip. ;)

Apparently the Mirage has a pretty consistent 10/20 lhe game in the afternoons.

I should point out that those sandwiches are nothing to get too excited about.
  • Mirage is THE place to be for for LHE in Vegas.
