  • Good game Greg! You've got quite the resume building of tournament wins. ;)

And very sportsman of you to give up your second seat to your opponent.
  • Congratulatiions! With 20,000 chips and 25-minute blinds, the tournament was not a "donkament" and had a Skill Level of 5. If only casinos and clubs offered as much poker play for such a small buy-in!

i probably gave up a bit of value here since i had about a 3:1 or better chip lead.
Using an ICM calculator, the deal was fair. As many players have seen or found out the hard way, a shorter-stacked and less-skilled opponent can easily double up and win a heads-up match.
    once again, pure luck jimmy.
Don't sell yourself short. You make money in poker because you have more skills or make better decisions than the donkeys. :fish: The reason why you, H.K. and I are among the all-time money leaders in that venue is because of +EV play, not luck.
  • i normally don’t post my wins, but under the following circumstances i thought i would share these:

    1st tournament of the night:
    $3+$0.30 buy-in no limit MTT
    Congratulations *trig*,
Out of 129 players in Tournament 1778814, you came in 1st and have won $85.17.
You've also been awarded 2.1 Cake Points for participating in the tournament.
    Best wishes,
    The CakePoker Team

    2nd tournament of the night:
$5+$1 buy-in limit MTT on party
    approximately 300 entrants
made it to HU and cut a deal (55% to chip leader and 45% to myself) giving me $270.

reasons i had to share these wins:
    1) these were played consecutively in one night (which is pretty good i think)
    2) i hate limit holdem (especially MTT limit holdem) – that is i signed up for the 2nd tournament thinking it was NL (second hand in the tourney…why so many min…bets…ah shit!)
    3) i was heavily drinking while playing the 2nd tournament (guess drunkenness helps me more than i originally thought J)
  • Maybe a ding, not a ding ding ding.

Plo 8.8 4 max last night chopped first because I had to go to sleep for work this AM. 163 entrants. Think I won $220 or something. Likely all going towards WSOP Steps.
  • I went on a crusie last week.

$60 rebuy tournament, 49 players..... top 3 payed. Ship kept 25% of the prize pool.

    Finished first for $ 2,575.00.

All in fest and got lucky a few times.

Went back the next night lost a $90 playing no limit. The rake was insane. 10% of the pot to a max of $25.00. Left after 1/2 hour......not donating to the ship fund.
  • vn score!

    asdf

Too bad I had to sit out for almost an hour but not a bad score considering.
  • Congrats also to forumer waltsfriend for winning the Skill Level 6 tournament on Friday. The final three were all ladies. Almost 7 hours after the tournament started, I was looking forward to the girl-on-girl heads-up match, ;) but the two Royal Cup teammates agreed to a deal. Four of the last eight tournaments have been won by forumers!

There will also be a special tournament on an upcoming Sunday, with an even better structure. PM me for details.

lol. please to be checking my new avatar and user title...

thank you to buddy and ryan for dealing. and to nelio for thinking this thing up. and to steve for following through on it. the friday night gang are really a great group of people.

talk about being card dead and playing poorly for 4 hours!

thanks to a lot of bad play, i was able to get to the final 5 as a severe short stack. then the magic happened...

J7o in BB gets to check all the way to river to get a straight and up to 3 or 4 BBs
Jd4d>86o to take out 5th place and get to 5 BBs
44>KJo to take out 4th place and get to 10 BBs
TT>AKo>AQo to get to average stack 3 handed and then...

    K8 MAKE BRACELET!
  • Wow...it must be true...

Even a blind squirrel can find a nut or two ;)

    Well done Greg.
  • Tight makes right.. lol.. Congrats Greg, well done..
  • Congrats Greg.

You took the CaChing$ outta ChingHill last season and now the Friday night.

You MAY not suck as bad as you think you do.
  • Ain't much, but its the biggest I've got to date

    5.50euro on Supreme 174 players
    third place for roughly $178CDN!
  • just finished 23rd outta 1345 entrants for a 1200 winaroooos, would have been 2nd place if lucksack chipleader donk did not hit his straight on the river, but i put the money in when i was ahead:)

thats my ding ding ding for another 2 years probably.
  • Very nice phil.
  • whewt... biggest cash so far...
