PokerStars Tournament #50598610, No Limit Hold'em
Buy-In: $50.00/$5.00
1300 players
Total Prize Pool: $65000.00
Tournament started - 2007/05/25 - 15:00:00 (ET)
Dear cdnmoose07,
Tournament #50598610 has been cancelled due to technical reasons.
When a tournament is cancelled, and players have already reached the
money, we refund each player their tournament fee, and then divide up the
prize pool based on the following formula:
- each player receives the minimum prize not yet awarded at the time of
cancellation
- the remainder of the award pool distributed proportionally according to
the chip count
At the time of cancellation there were 41 player remaining, and your chip
count was 171,770. Total chips in play were 3,900,000. The remaning prize
pool was $47,476.00 and the minimum prize was $227.50.
Prize pool to be divided equally: $227.50 x 41 = $9,327.50
Prize pool to be divided based on chip count: $47,476.00 - $9,327.50 = $38,148.50
Your share in money equally divided: $227.50
Your share based on your chip count: $38,148.50 x (171,770/3,900,000) = $1,680.19
Your entry fee refunded: $5.00
Total money refunded to your account: $1,912.70
We apologize for the inconvenience.
The PokerStars Team
I was sitting 5th in chips at the time the tourney shut down. Also, PokerStars in trying to restablish their network, pulled down my internet connection on me, while I was deep in the $40k on Prima. By the time I reset everything and got back in I found myself 20/21 with a M of 2.2. So I ended up 20th for $261.45.
Sigh a very good day that ended up being so frustrating and possibly a great day that was taken away from me in two tournaments.
I was lucky. I had just scooped a monster pot of $80k when the tourney crashed. I ended up with better than 7th place money. Like you said, you have no idea when the bad beat is coming. I hadn't felt better or more confident in a tourney in a long time though. There was no reason to believe I wouldn't have final tabled. I had 4.4% of the chips in play at the time. Feel sorry for the chip leader though, he only ended up with just better than 6th place money.
I also forgot I won a $320 ticket to the Big Deal $100k tourney Sun on Ongame. Hopefully no more cancellations.
Time to put this thread back on top! I lost my internet connection with 40 left in the tourney for 15 minutes and lost 20% of my stack, but lucky for me I was able to keep it togetherfor a nice payday! Thing are finally starting to click. Perhaps if I'mlucky I'll be the next "SirWatts" from the tri-city area! Hello TJQKAsuited,Congratulations on your finish in tournament #54372187! You agreed to a deal at the final table to adjust the payouts as follows: Official New Player Payout Payout ========= ======== ====== mgw21 #1 $ 15435.25 $ 13000.00 TJQKAsuited #2 $ 7757.50 $ 10192.75When the tournament ended, you were automatically credited with the official 2nd place payout of $7757.50.The difference between this amount and the amount to which you agreedin the deal is $2435.25, and this amount has been credited to your account. You will find this transaction in the cashier history at this time.Good luck in your next event, and thank you for your participation.Best Regards,PokerStars Support Team
This used to be a thread that I always looked forward to reading when I saw it had new posts. Now, thanks to Marks micro wins, it has evolved into a cluttered shit storm.
