You too? Happened to me twice in Kingston when I lived there

twice in hamilton. my gf was upset when i told her i'm never going back. BK was her favourite fast food place - yuck!
  • Yeah I remember BK hitting an all time low. There was a regime change in the BK world a couple years back though... they closed all the hamilton locations for months while they hired all new staff and changed things up. Much better now. Hard to beat a good whopper.

Yeah, the fact that I know that is part of the reason I'm in this challenge...
  • How much weight can you lose from food poisoning? Just wondering...

Sorry I couldn't get to a scale today. Also, I'm just getting over a cold and I'm pretty sure I lost 3-5 lbs the last few days because of it, so I'm just gonna bow out. Instead of donating to you degens I'm just gonna donate my 20 straight to charity. Take that diabetes!

    Good luck all!!!

Hope you are feeling better. And if you have a tournament June 20th I can get 4 guys there for sure!

    Post 19 is now completed

  • Since I am not eliminating like some of you I thought one of these might help. Squatty Potty.

  • Article from The Economist that I came across. I plan to get the book that it references.
Eat more heart healthy saturated fat.

Why everything you heard about fat is wrong

like real food poisoning is the worst thing in the world. i'm not just talking about puking and a bit of nausea. real food poisoning you need to bring a bucket with you to the washroom because you are not sure which end it's coming out of, or if it'll be both at the same time. then once you finally stop dry heaving you crawl back into bed where you can't sleep because you are literally shaking constantly. this takes place for maybe two to three days, but even for the next week or more you still can't eat normally. i hope that i'll never have to feel that way again.
  • ok but i was really looking for numbers on this

The 60s called. Atkins wants his ideas back.

It's good info. Many of the recent popular diets are offshoots of what Atkins was ridiculed for 40 years ago.
  • Starting to feel some clothes loosening up. Definately a good sign.
  • So, to those in challenge 2, I was asked this today: Can someone who entered challenge one continue on to challenge 2 at the weigh in? Please respond so we can get this cleared up. I told the person, "Good question, let me ask." It will have to be unanimous by those who registered for challenge 2.

Your answer is:? Send me a pm to keep it as blind response as possible please.

  • After the end of challenge 1? No fucking way!

Can I quit after the first or second challenge? No I can't!

I guess that takes care of unanimity.

Always open to side bets tho...
  • Yeah have to agree with Greg. If someone wants in challenge 2, today, I'd allow it. A few months in though?? "No Fucking Way!!"

Rather than lose $1 million, Ivey then decided to call up Dwan and the two eventually settled on a buy-out amount for the vegetarian prop bet of $150,000.

Phil Ivey Loses $1 Million Vegetarian Prop Bet To Dwan

We can always work something out! ;)
  • Let you guys out now for $99. PM me.
  • Ya but I can't just 'quit'
  • I wouldn't let someone join the challenge now.

If they want in today, right now, I'm good with that. At the end of challenge 1, "Oh I"m fucking winning so here's 100 and I'm going keep going". I am a gambler not an idiot. I am sure no one in challenge 2 would let me surrender for $25 because I don't want to carry on. People had ample time.
  • Letting anyone into the second contest seems like it shouldn't be a problem - provided their loss is being counted from the day they join.

So if someone wants to join contest two today? They pay the full one hundred dollars, they weigh in TODAY, and they have a week less to accomplish their weight loss than everyone else (and so are at a disadvantage both by time remaining and that their previous weight loss will not count).

I'm not the one who asked to join, but if I were in #2 I'd let as many people join as want to under those conditions.
  • While I don't want to panic anyone, I measured the biggest part of my belly today and 2 inches gone. The drinking 3L plus of water is obviously helping. Of course I'm not drinking alcohol so it might just be my liver returning to size..... LOL
  • Being an engineer I'm all about gadgets. My blood keytone meter is reading 0.8 mmol/L so I actually have physical proof that my body is burning fat for energy! :-)
