these unchanging schedules and formats are soooooo dry....

    Saves on printing costs lol
  • i was just over at fallsview this past saturday. They were running 2 tables non stop for the SATS and they were running them in a timely fashion. I wasn't able to get on a smaller SAT like I wanted but I did make make 1.5K playing cash so I just bought into the 1K directly. The ticket system looks better as well they are using a card system to cut down on the fraud/false tickets.

Overall I was impressed with the effort of the poker room running the SATS. I'm just a casual player so I may not be the best resource on this but they were doing better then last year.:)
  • Are all the tournament vouchers transferable, like in prior years? Need to arrange for my online satellite.
  • Its says right on the card it is transferable so I think your good. I know a couple of the main poker pit bosses have all the information. Try calling the poker room if you still need confirmation.
  • You cannot transfer them out of the name the card is bought or won under. But you may still register for the tourney using the card even thou it is not in your name. That came directly from poker room sup. as i won and sold serveral 1K entries and buys wanted them in there names and poker room and cash cage stated same.

Why do they not show the blind schedule and length of blinds for the main events or the super sattellites on the brochure ?

    Its so tilting.

They are on there if you haven't found it by now.

  • I bought 2 Vouchers for the $2,500 Event over the phone, 1 for myself, and 1 for OPT's Satellite Winner.

The vouchers are no longer really vouchers as they are now Cards stating the event.

I was told on the phone that I can give/sell the other one to whoever I want as long as they have a players advantage card and that they are over 19 years of age.

This will stop any fake vouchers being made but won't stop any scalping.
  • Does anyone know if there is lots of $1000 seats.
    Should be buying one soon.

    Cheers Rod
  • Calling all Fallviews Classic 1K participants!

I'm just throwing this our there to have some fun and to also meet more of the poker community. I'm proposing a last longer during the Fallsview 1k main event. Anyone who would like to participate will put 100 dollars into the pot before the the event starts and if your the last one standing you get all the cash!

If you would like to participate I will give you my contact information and then we can meet just before to settle up. If I get knocked out I will pass the money to whoever is the relative chip leader and we can take it from there. Let me know what you think Poker Forum.:D

Isn't a last longer counter intuitive in a tournament? better if you are the first one out. Just adds more anguish to the losers.
  • Not sure how to answer that one? If your joking great but if your serious would you like me to explain what a last longer is?

And the regs here should trust you weith the holdings why?
  • That is a great point. Will you being entering the 1K? If so I`m happy to have you or one of the senior regs on the forum hold it. Honestly this is just to meet up with other members but if its going to be to much hassle or cause conflict then ill drop it.^-^

How is a regular more trust worthy? And what makes one a regular? X number of posts?
  • Consider it dropped. Good luck at Fallsview everyone.
  • You should prob drop it on 2p2 as well before you get destroyed.

Why not just join the annual #rungood breakfast if you want to meet forumers?
  • Thanks Wetts. Looking forward to getting back into the poker community. Obviously I need to get the rust off my game and posting lol. I hope your playing the 1K and I can meet up with the OPT crew before starting.

Haha! No problem, see you in January at the next OPT youre at.

For everyone else, this is not a scam thread, OP is a real person.

    Wetts is scam
  • Nononono . . . I have actually MET Wetts. And I was not suggesting the OP was attempting to scam anyone. Simply that his offer, from a relatively new member with no bona fides to speak of (though that has changed), was somewhar presumptive.

Fallsview doesn't seem like they want people to know how many seats are left, but it does appear that over 450 seats have been redeemed already, that doesn't include any seats sitting in people's players accounts. Should be sold out before the new year for sure.
  • Your right they are not releasing the numbers for the events to the public. I was told it will cut down on scalping and hoarding of tickets.

Hey Wetts I got Andrew St. Jean to join my last man. Now I'm guaranteed to be out 1.1K. The first step in understanding dead money is knowing when you are. :D
  • Going to Fallsview this Sunday to play on the Sattys. Anyone know how early I need to be there to ensure I don't have to wait too long to get in one. Do they only start taking the list at 11AM?

Im going this Sunday as well. What as far as I know they take requests anytime. However it has been my experience that they will not start a Sat until 12pm. If your looking for a Step A sat 125/155 the wait is generally longer as they run the bigger sats more often. What level are you buying into?
  • You should get there early if u can, it's really silly the way they run the sats, usually the first 10 guys sign up for all the satellites and you're number 11 u could be out of luck if they only have 1 table going, cause what happens is that they never run the same satellite twice, so for example they run a $220, then they run a $155 after but the guys that were top 10 for the list on the $220 is also top 10 for the list on the $155, and u may not get to play till 3 satellites later.
  • So I was fortunate enough to win a ticket for $2.5K event yesterday. I was told to collect the ticket at the cashier a few hours later. I went to the cashier a few hours later and they said its still not entered into their system. Check with poker room and they said it will take some time to show in the system and I was advice to collect the ticket on the day of tournament. Did anyone else who won tickets encounter the same thing? Should I be ok with collecting the ticket on the tournament day? Knowing how bad these guys run their event, I just don't want any last minute issues.
