Comp, he doesn't stop, was with him last year, once he is done one tourney he is either playing a SnG Sat, Cash, or another tourney, ultimate grinder.
Hopefully this year he doesn't stay so far from the action, as it must have cut into his playing time LOL
Definatly planning on staying at the rio this time haha.
Yeah, the Rio just seems like the best place for the WSOP to be held and the place to stay if you want to grind there... I like being on the strip, but the WSOP is well done at the Rio, so I hope the rumours of moving it to another Harrah's property (PH) are just that, rumours...
That rumour has gone around every year for the past 3-4 years IIRC. I won't believe it until CEC releases an official statement
Otherwise I'll always have a seat..in front of my computer watching streams and reading "live updates"

I really want to play the May 29 stud8 event but don't think I can make it. It would be fun to go when other forumers are going so I'll probably wait and see who is going when.
For those of you who are planning to make the trip this year, when will you be looking to book your flights? Earlier the better or is there a specific time the air fare goes down? I'm looking to go in late June, started to monitor air fare rates.
Anyone have an idea of what else is going on at the same time? I'll be looking to play some of the smaller buyin events but not sure what else is running

In addition to some great daily tourneys at Aria and Bellagio, there are several events that usually coincide with the WSOP. Last year, there was the Venetian Deepstack Series, the Caesars MegaStack series, Golden Nuggent Grand Series and another event at Binions.
I am sure it will be the same this year. I think the Bellagio Cup is around that time as well. Lots of events and buy-in levels.
The schedules and structures just have not been released yet from the other casinos.

I think a lot of us have been tracking airfare and I just booked flights for june 16-24th. They were under 500.00 each direct through westjet.
I consider that cheap out of toronto.
Also depending on how much you degen in the pits you may want to book rooms directly with the hotel as they won't comp you anything this trip if you book a combo package through expedia etc.
Talk to a host if you want when you first get down there or when you are checking out talk to the front desk and see what they can do for you. Last year I was able to get rooms comp'd as I had to stay longer for the WSOP ME and literally played maybe 2hrs of blackjack at the hotel.
