The bloggers are tweeting a rumor that the Jays just signed Vladimir Guerrero to a minor league contract!
I don't see where he is going to help us. Unless AA is planning on making a deal that would see one of our bats leave to get another started. Maybe EE is on the way out ?
I cringed every time he came to bat against the Jays last year with the OriLoLes and not in a good way. He sucked last year, add another year to his creaky knees and soon they will need to bring in the Babe Ruth exemption, where they had a pinch runner run to first for him.
Lind dropping an easy pop-up into the seats and then EE doing a headfirst flip right into the seats and making a way more difficult catch the very next day basically sealed his fate. At least the short pants will be advisable in Vegas.
I thought I would watch the Jays game tonight, since I had the T.V. to myself. Wow did they ever crush the Mets. There hitting was amazing tonight. I hope they can keep it up.
This makes me shake my head. Jesus, he's already been released by 2 other teams.
Didn't they learn from the Vlady mistake?
Not sure which part of Vladdy was a mistake, they essentially invited him to a free tryout and didn't rush him, especially when they were about to start interleague play and his only use would be a PH AB
As for Moyer, another free tryout and a guy who can make starts in AAA for that depleted rotation since most of the 51's rotation from May are up with the Jays. Obviously not great that it came to this, but way better than moving their top prospects from AA or A up too fast and blowing their confidence. Not like you have to worry about Moyer getting shelled in Vegas and losing his confidence, if he gets lit up you just cut him and let him retire

I wasnt sold on Santos as the closer even when healthy.
I was positive Cordero would be a train wreck.
But, Im calling that Janssen as the closer is a very good decision. I think he's got just enough f'd in the head to be effective.
Just hit a solo today
Yes AFAIK.

41 wins, 2 Cy Youngs, and the pitching triple crown wasn't enough value for you?
