Yeah, right. Four player, none of whom are willing to go on the record, and no ex-players or coaches that will do so either? Screw ESPN . . .
And, if they are doing it, who the fuck cares? Show me a rule that says it's illegal. Actually I do care . . . shouldn't Some of those guys have better averages if they know what's coming?
Molina tried to turn a double into a triple, thrown out. Lawrie tried to advance to 2nd on a pitch in the dirt, thrown out. Aggressiveness was there last night, not enuff speed though.
I don't get this one. All three are free agents at the end of the year. Was AA just being nice to Jmac and trading him to a contender ? And in the process, audition a new 2nd baseman ?

Kind of. Hill has an option that the Jays would have to decline and I believe that would mean no compensation if he signed elsewhere. If Johnson walks they will get at least a compensatory pick in next years draft (a la Buck last year) and if he has a hot end to the season he could move himself into Type A free agency which means the signing team would have to give the Jays their first rounder. If he stays with the Jays his arbitration salary would likely be very reasonable.
For Jmc it's a chance to spend the dog days in a pennant race and he could even contribute at SS with their injuries. Don't be shocked to see him in a Jays uniform next spring.....it's happened before.
Poor drunk Buck must have been especially hammered today because even though they were playing the Orioles, apparently the Rangers were winning by a run after four innings.
Not exactly "glad" they didn't get Darvish but I'm in the camp that thinks spending the money on proven MLB performers like Fielder is the better way to compete pronto.

Acquire Johnson from D-backs

Nice change of scenery trade. Johnson is a nice bat to plug in and will bring compensation if he walks next season.
Has history with Escobar too.....maybe they can turn some DP's instead of Hill falling over his feet.
I always said if JMac could hit he would be in GOAT company. Like
> Vizquel
> Ozzie
type of GOAT.
But no one can hold a candle to Ozzie.

I loved the story of when he was in triple A he was put on the DL with a leg contusion.
Bruce Chen on the DL with bruised shin.
Seriously WTF Buck?
