yes other then the confusion amongst the suits and cages and what not. All the tournament stuff was well down. Getting your seat assignment, finding your seat, knowing what level you were playing and what level was next or if it was a break next and how long the break was. The actual main tournaments were well run.
Is it just at this particular casino where they do not fan the cards on the table for all players to see that they are all there prior to the first deal? I asked about this and got told...we counted them before...they are all there. I don't give a damn if you counted them 20 minutes before it started. I want to see them you MF's.

I would like to add a few thoughts. I won't deny your statements here gentlemen. You would know better than anyone I am sure that it was infact a well run tournament. I am glad to hear you think this, and I am also glad that the forum was so well represented Again congratulations to all of you today!
For me, a big part of the draw to the larger events has always been the extra action at the cash tables that usually are abundant. Even the shot at the sattelites into the larger events is usually appealing.
Most people wanting to experience this aspect of the bigger tournaments would be turned off by all of the politics and lack of preparedness which I think is unfortunate for the event, the location, and poker all around. I don't take back any of my other opinions as they are all valid, however, I would defer to your confidence in the main events if ever another chance comes around.
It was definately great to see you guys again and I hope to be at a table with you in the future.
Fwiw another positive about Fallsview is that you are escorted directly to the checkout after cashing where the money is uploaded. There is no additional tipping "pressures", nor is it even mentioned.
As an example Vegas tournaments also (most of them) have a % taken out as well as that awkward moment after cashing where they stare at you for the tip.

I think they have to escort you but don't quote me on that, I know at rama when you win big they do and offer security escort right to your vehicle.

A little insecure to block that site isn't it?
Also interesting info from that site:
The tournament had an impressive 444 registered players contributing to a $1,012,098 prize pool.
Works out to $2302 per person but it was it was supposed to be $2350 + $150. What happened to the other $48/person? WTF?
Calling HVEE to get to the bottom of this!
