Last year the first 2 tourneys finished the same day if I remember correctly. Not sure abbout the $5,000 tourney.
Time will not be an issue with these blinds unless they have changed from last year. I can't be bother to study the new format since I will not be returning.

If it fills up they may have a problem. Level 11 by midnight Maybe 1/2 or more of the field still in.
Should start at noon run till 40 runners left then go back in at 4 pm until finish.
Hi, anyone have any further details, number of entrants? Top payouts? They had 'prizing' not sure what that means exactly, sounds like the potential total pool? Thanks
As one of the regulars at Fallsview here's the cap for every main event in the Fallsview Poker Classic:
Does anybody know how many seats are left for the $1K? What will happen in the super satellite if there will be more than 600 vouchers sold/won?
So, far a little more than 330 seats have been sold or given away in the satellites for the $1000 tournament. Now, the way the super satellite works is for example: before the tournament day there are 20 out of 600 seats left in the tournament, Fallsview will be hosting a mini satellite tournament(super satellites) where 200 players will play and the top 20 out of the 200 will each get a seat in the $1000 tournament (basically top 10% of the players will be awarded the seats). There wont be more then 600 vouchers sold, In case the tournament sells out prior to the super satellite date there wont be a super satellite for that particular buy-in tournament.
Please read post #34 above... You'll find the answer to your question.

thought it was advertised as $500,000 prize money w $1k buy-in. I guess with $60 admin fee and 600 players, prize money is closer to $558k. Not unless the $58k is taken off the top as well.

As stated in the pdf you linked to the admin fee is $70. not $60. Therefore with a sellout at 600 the prize pool would be 600 x $930. or $558K. The $500K as stated in the brochure has an * beside it meaning prize pool is dependant on # of entrants, same as pretty well any tournament. No where does it say that they keep any amount over $500K. Why would you suggest that? We have to quit bashing on Fallsview all the time, especially since this time it looks reasonable, especially the supersats and the tournaments themselves. The SNG's well meh, but no different than Vegas ones...

Don't worry with double the entrants as last year there will be plenty of prize money. Before you start worrying about prize money, you're going to have to make the final table where the top prize money will be awarded.
There is no doubt that the $1000 Main event will be sold out however, we are keeping seats for the Super Satellite. Now we can not know how many people will turn up for the Supers but there will be one played out, probabaly max 300 players.
Also, other than the admin fees all monies will be returned to the players in prize money)

Someone who knows.
Is it possible to preregister via phone for the 1K supersatellite?
So if the $1K event is already sold out at 600 players, will the prizes in the $120 Super Satellite be distributed as $1,000 cash prizes or as an entry to the $2,500 event?
Isn't there an additional 3% taken out of the prize pool for gratuities, just like all the WPT Fallsview events?

I believe it is sold out but they have seats saved for the satellite so you will still win a buy in to the 1k event

They are not selling anymore seats, the only way to get the seats now are to win them in satelites, is what it means. They put aside a certain amount of seats for satelites as it will make them more money then just selling them.
$1000 is sold out....just called to sign up....she said there were still seats...sent me the documents etc to sign and as I was about to send them back 10 minutes later she send me another email saying she was mistaken and it was full....since I'd already scanned my credit card and went to all the trouble I ended up entering the $2500.....wish me luck.
Yeah I guarantee I missed it by minutes or the final seat sold out during our back and forth. Oh well....what's another $1500...rent is so overrated....
The $1000 Main Event is SOLD OUT, 300 seats for the Super Satellite have been held to win the remaining 30 seats to the Main Event. Players have been buying seats for the Super Satellite quickly and they believe this will also sell out. If you want to a seat, please go to Fallsveiw and purchase one at the cashier or Players Club.

Ok, so who is in charge there? When I called to see if I could purchase a super seat via credit card they told me they had to be purchased live and would not be on sale until day of the sat... Jeesh will these guys ever get their story's straight?

Yeah, as I mentioned in the other thread, 2 of my friends tried to buy seats to the $1k satty on Monday and were turned away as well.
I will just say that canadians are really screwed over when it comes to getting a top class tournament with the top class guys running a show. I hope some day it changes.

Do you have that as an "official" position or are you just speculating?
I think this is what is implied here.
I am going to Fallsview on Tuesday, while I am waiting for my cash seat, I will inquire if it is sold out yet or not
Yes I did and they said they were selling 50 more vouchers and the rest were for the super sat
