That's not the end of the world. By the last day, I'm sure we'll be ready to come home.

Now if the Detroit flight leaves earlier, that would suck.

    No biggie.
  • Entertainment Options:

    http://www.cirquedusoleil.com/en/~/media/shows/o/pdf/o-seatplan.pdf

Right now I can buy O tix
    1st row balcony
    Section 303
    Row AA
    Seats 15-20 US $108.90 (Adult) x 6

    or 1st row Upper Orchestra
    Section 204
    Row O
    Seats 1-6 US $143.00 (Adult) x 6

these prices include taxes and fees. It's a popular show so probably there will be no discounts available. They aren't even for sale on a last minute basis through Tix4Tonight.

We've seen it already but IMHO it's the best Cirque in Vegas and would see again.

Blue Man Group is not for sale yet, Penn & Teller is $82.50, but I would hold out for discount tickets. These two shows we haven't seen but would like to. For Blue Man group I should be able to get 40% off the $143.50 Blue Zone Orchestra seats, so probably about $100 after taxes and fees.

A cheaper cirque would be the original Mystere, which is a good show and we would also see that again. They are not on sale yet but cat 3 tickets would be $95, with all taxes and fees. But I would hold out for discounted tickets. Currently they have a summer sale on and cat 2 seats would be only $63 just to give you an idea of what they might get discounted to in Sept.
  • From my experience, O you can get 25% off 1030 shows if you guys want to watch that - that's what I went with last time when I saw it.

Blue Man for 40% off is worth the price of admission, and Penn and Teller always has sales on their tickets. Mystere is definitely available through Tix4Tonight but the cat 2 for $63 is a pretty hot deal.
  • Blue man is terrible don't bother
  • Wraych and I are indifferent on seeing a show. We wouldn't mind seeing something, but really we'd rather have a nice meal out somewhere. Obviously holding out for cheaper tickets would be ideal.

That being said we don't have to do everything together every night either. If the Mooses and Hobbes want to go to O without us, we won't be offended.

I've been watching the concert listings and comedy shows, but there's nobody decent booking into Vegas that week yet.

EDIT: Sports wise, we're getting really unlucky. In my research I've found the UNLV NCAA football team is on the road that week, it's too early for NCAA basketball and the LV51s (Blue Jays farm team) will be finished their season by then :(

    you no like? :D

Saw the blue men here at rama, the Canadian group not the vegas group of course, it was good, they could have toned down the rock music.

The folks said the vegas show was excellent.
  • Deals on Cirque du Soleil Shows in Las Vegas

Given a choice, I rather see KA > Mystere
  • I have seen KA, O, and BMG and I loved them all!! :D

I saw it 5 years ago at Luxor and was not at all impressed
  • Forget Cirque, this is the show we must see*:

    Sep 18 Sunset Amphitheater Michael Bolton 8pm Tickets $29.00, $42.50, $55.00 & $69.00 +tax & fee

    *clearly this is a joke

    It better be.
Must not let wife see this.
  • But he's got the most beautiful hair and that sexy growly voice....

In 48 hours I'll be walking through the front doors of the Aria. I can't wait. Man am I ever going to lose some serious money!
  • This is getting really annoying but hey, it's an extra 50 min in Vegas!

Now we leave 25 min earlier from Detroit (2:05) and leave Vegas 15 min later (8:25 am). Yeah but that's only 40 min extra you say? Somehow the flight is now faster to Vegas so we gain another 10 min. Woot!
  • FYI...I read somewhere that Sprite are making all their cabin seats non-adjustable. Not sure if they're making these changes to existing planes or only new ones that are coming in. Will try to dig out the article later when I get home
  • Have a $25 off $200 coupon for Staples if anyone is thinking of a netbook for the trip.
  • 50OFF code good until midnight Thurs at spiritair.com

If you reserve a compact/CheapestShitbox they will *always* be out.
Threaten to go to their competitors, they will give you a better car for the same price.

    Always works.
  • Just for you Compuease:

Mirage used to follow an antiquated rule that anyone from a foreign country (except certain exempt countries) who cashed in a tournament had to have a withholding from their winnings due to taxes (regardless of amount).

Most rooms in Vegas only follow this policy when the tournament winning amount is in excess of $5,000. Mirage now follows the $5,000 rule

  • Still trying to rent a van. Starting in August going to start bumping up my priceline bid by $1 per try until we get it.

Found something else to do in Vegas. Definitely having a drink here:

    Monte Carlo

Entire bar made of ice, including the glass.
