  • You forgot June :D

Seriously can't wait for this, it'll be a blast.

When I told Wraych about the flight deal she responed "How can we NOT go at that price?!"
  • Funny thing was Hobbette (lol) and I were talking about going to Vegas for her birthday which is on the 22nd.
  • I will probably be up dropping in for a couple of days in that stretch..but won't be able to commit 'til later so I'm gonna deal with my own arrangements separately.
  • just wondering...what is the deal you guys are getting?
  • Round trip airfare from Detriot- $148/person

$50/wn @ Flamingo. I suspect we'll get a better bargain before we go.

  • Managed to book this through my Total Rewards card:

    Total Trip Cost**
    $392.00 USD

Darn the fuel costs must have changed:

How much did you guys pay last year? I know airfare was definitely more, what about hotel?

I believe the flights were $220, and we had to stay in Detroit as the flight time was 6am!

The hotel worked out to $80 each (4 nights) with 4 of us in the room at Harrahs.
  • I'll need to get a Total Rewards card when I am in Windsor this month
  • Something I do when booking with Harrah's properties, I call the reservations line for a quote rather than using hotdeals, once quoted I ask if adding Lori's reward card to the reservation will change the quote. My last two vacation have changed the weekday rates to comped and decreased the weekend rates by $20. Might be worth a phone call.
  • Also if part of your group doesn't have total reward cards, the person who has a total rewards card can book other rooms for the rest of party under a program called "Friends and Family". I was offered rates a little better than the hotdeals rate posted on the website. Hope this helps...
  • Yeah we booked 2 rooms under friends and family.
    50 50 50 100 100 50 50 = $450 + tax = $504

    Let the good times roll.

He's now stuck before we get to vegas. :(
  • Doing some math. $800 per couple. Drinks are of course, free. So at $4 per drink, that's 200 drinks. 100 drinks ea person/7 days = 14.28 drinks per person per day to break even. Always good to have a goal in mind. ;)

I'll have to pick up some of Wraych's load. Since the baby, she's been such a lightweight :)
