Kitchener / Waterloo Grudge Match II - Final Roster
It's back baby! After the successful first KWGM, we're going to try it all AGAIN!!

  1. Each grudge match consists of a total of four (4) $30 tournaments – for a total cost of $120 / person.
  2. The first three tournaments only pay 1st place ($50), but based on performance, you earn chips for the KWGM Finale starting
     stack (See payout structure below).

to one of these games, you will be blinded out, and assigned your rank accordingly.

available, there will be a satellite tournament to determine who receives any remaining spots.

Comments
"Ineedanick" Dave P.
Current KWGM champion, an impressive win at KWGM grandfathered Dave into this one (and the prize money helped pay for it). Dave is also a Bristol Street champion, and definately a force to be reckoned with.
"stpboy" Shannon
KWGM I's fan favorite, Shannon had a strong showing with his 3rd place finish. Shannon is also the reigning Bristol Street tournament of champions winner, captained the Kitchener Royal cup team to a second place finish, and won a KPS MTT this year already. Will his streak continue?
"DrTyore" Mark
KWGM I organizer and runner- up. Mark has also recently won the KPS tournament of champions, is a former Bristol Street Champion, and a member of the 2nd place Kitchener team at the Royal Cup. He was the most winningest player in KWGM I - winning two of the preliminary games, can he repeat his performance against this new roster?
"The Prophet 22" Brent
The KWGM II Satellite winner. Brent is the founder and host extrordinaire of the West Side Poker Club. He too is a former Bristol Street Champion. Brent had to earn his way back into the KWGM, and he is anxious to show the rookies how this thing works.
"8Ball" Tye
Our first "rookie" to the KWGM is also 2006's first Bristol Street Champion. Tye is a regular player at Bristol, and was actually scheduled for KWGM I before having to pull out due to circumstances beyond his control. Will Tye make up for lost time?
"JohnnieH"Â Johnnie
Another rookie that was supposed to be in KWGM I, Johnnie is also 2006's second Bristol Street Champion. Johnnie also made the final table of the gruelling "Legends of Bristol Street" and is playing some of the best poker of his life right now. Will his momentum carry him through the KWGM 11+ hour SNG'S?
"Itsame" Mario
If you've played with him, you never forget it. Mario has made second place at both Bristol Street and the Cook Crew tournaments, and holds a KPS title. He may be the only man more popular that "stpboy" in town. Mario subbed in for Shopsy in KWGM I and took down the preliminary game. Can his fun and charm win the KWGM II? No, but his poker game just may.
"Wolffhound" Dave W.
Another regular Bristol streeter. Dave has been AWOL for a while now because of some major upheavels in his life. However, he simply claims that he's well rested, and ready to go for KWGM II. Dave was another of the original roster from KWGM I, and is looking to guarantee his name goes down in the KWGM history books.
"beanie42" Trevor
Bristol Street Champion, host of the Cook Crew tournaments, former Cook Crew Champion, and winner of the "I have 5 kids and still manage to play poker as much as DrTyore" award. Another Kitchener Royal Cup team member, and also delivered the Royal Cup's best performance. Trevor was a ringer in KWGM I for Zithal and took 2nd. After a taste of the game, he's anxious to show the KWGM "veterans" what he can do.
"King Mob" Dave K.
KW's tallest poker player, he too had to earn his way back into the KWGM. Dave is confident however, declaring a full day before the satellite that he "Will win his way back in". Dave is looking to prove he's better than his previous results - another deadly aggressive player into the mix.Â
"TNORTH" Tom
A KWGM alumni, Tom is also a Bristol Street Champion, and regularly seen at the final tables of other local games. Tom was another member of the Kitchener 2nd place team for the Royal Cup, and has some definate grudges against some of the other players from KWGM I.
"Haddon" Josh
A new face to the area, Josh has already made a splash at the KPS tournament series, making repeated final tables and money placements. He placed 3rd in the KPS Tournament of champions, and backdoored his way into the KWGM II when there were last minute cancellations. Another KWGM rookie added to further spice things up.
Guys wish I could have joined this, but damn bike season! Dave I still have a Grudge from the final game! and I will be coming for ya in the next one!

Thanks for organizing this event. I was so happy to win the satellite last night and was looking forward to a great match. Unfortunately due to the personal attacks on this forum in public as well as in private, I have decided to pass on participating in this event. I understand it is a grudge match but to be humiliated and attack the way I have, it is just not worth it! I just would not enjoy playing poker. I have had my character attack both in public on the forum and in private, through personal messages. It is quite something to receive a PM and being called a liar and basically being called a cheat. I never thought PM would be used that way but I guess when they can’t say it face to face, they are left without options. I believe this match is better off with out me being there as this person scrutinize every thing I do in a poker game and then comes on the forum and tries to pass it off as general inquire about poker when in reality he is calling me a cheat in public without asking me about it at the time.
See angle shooting post in the general chat section. The game he is referring to happened Monday with Folded, Shopsy, Haddon, Stpboy, and myself.
Notice he didn’t say anything about Cory looking thru the muck for cards or the fake calls Cory makes with chips in his hand. So I know it is personal with me beyond the grudge match.
I honesty feel that because this person is more popular on the forum and with the crowd who will be playing, so it would be better for me not to attend. I have talked to Kyle who finished third and he said he would like to take my place. But it is your tournament.
Mark, I appreciate all you have done for me, with helping me at West Side events. I was really touched and I really mean that, with the birthday cake on my birthday. But I can't come. It is just too much for me with all that is going on in my life at this time.
To all the other players I apologize I really want to play this series with you.
Prophet 22
No offense is meant here but why would you post "I'm leaving the forum"...a letter to Neil when you could have just Pm'd him?
stp
No offense Shannon, but that sounds a lot like "I didn't say you were lying, just that you don't tell the truth". I'm not taking sides on this specific issue, I wasn't there, but if I were in Brent's shoes, I wouldn't see a distincition between these 2 statements.
This I have to agree with - I was blissfully ignorant about this whole situation until Brent's posts, and even Brent mentions the PM's he's received (although he sees them as "attacking"). Just to play peacemaker, is it possible that what Shannon meant as a question/debate was read by Brent as an attack, and this is simply another problem with the lack of context, tone, etc. in e-communication? I'm not privy to these PM's and don't want to be, but maybe if you guys just grabbed a coffee and yelled at each other for a bit, the ability to hear tone and see facial/body language would help to resolve this thing? Just a thought.
P.S. The passionate above was not meant in a "manflirting" kinda way.
Perhaps I should have re-worded this to say that I think the subject of the angle shooting thread has the potential to be something unethical. I've never seen someone purposely call out of turn to isolate another player. Again, I'm not saying that is what for sure happened. I'm just saying.
It sucks that at times we all have to feel as though we walk on egg shells when posting. I'd rather give people the benefit of the doubt before jumping to conclusions. I'd be happy to resolve whatever isues he has with me but you'd think two grown men would be able to do this appropriately and privately in a short period of time. Thanks for the helpful comments though Jeff and trevor, it's nice to see that noone is 'taking sides'.

I know no better words then that.
stp
Wooooh Yeah!

As you can see, we've had a last minute withdrawl from the KWGM II, and I'm working on the replacement. Keep your eyes peeled, and perhaps you may want to change your votes!
Mark
"Wolffhound" is out, and "TNORTH" is in... adjust voting accordingly.
Mark
And I voted for the face because well, it should say JOSH MOTHERFRIGGIN HADDON.
We have our 10 players, and we have our location. All KWGM participants should now be aware that they are expected at the Bristol Street Night Club and Casino for game 1. Shuffle up and Deal at 7:00. Please bring your entry fee ($120) if possible, but if you'd prefer paying on a game by game basis, this is also fine ($40 / game).
Good luck everyone.... I don't mean that
Mark
