Yes. Honestly I find I like to have a drink when playing cash as its fairly boring. I'm a tournament player deep down and never really drink when playing them live. Studying a lot of poker at the moment and planning on hitting the cash games during the tournaments as not gonna qualify now and too late to book time off work. Thinking I will make it back quick enough as the games are crazy enough and during the festival it will be even better. If variance on my side I hope to hit a good hourly.
Best of luck to all the people on this forum during the WPT. Be nice if someone on here won one of them this year😀
The good news for you is that there will be up to 770 seats at Fallsview starting on February 16. It will probably be 2/5 and non-stop satellites in the tournament area, while 5/10+ will run in the 17-table poker room.
Spectators are welcome to watch, especially the final tables on February 19, 21, and 24. Last year's final tables were pretty exciting, which included the chipleader getting arrested by the OPP! :eek2: The Main Event was filmed for TV, so you can see the local players and dealers hanging around with the Royal Flush Girls in the background. Has anybody seen the episodes on Kodi or Canadian cable yet?
Irunit4times and I were dismayed at the huge waiting lists but several empty tables as usual at Fallsview last night, but to my pleasant surprise, suddenly a record FIVE satellite tables were opened! :O It became like the WSOP satellite room at the Rio where you did not have to wait long for your first satellite, then as soon as you're done, you can sit down at the next satellite. Fallsview will have five tables again this afternoon, so this weekend could be your best chance to win your $1,100+ WPT entries or $1,050 / $550 transferable vouchers.
Sats are on at fallsview and the steps games once 5 tables were opened actually looked like they ran pretty consistently. I think they had a 1k sat to the 5k run while I was there for an hour. So much better chances now on weekend evenings running multiple tables.
Can anyone update what steps they are currently running?
The satellite tables (up to 5) ran all five buy-ins from noon until 2 am. In the craziest tournament that I have ever played out of thousands, one player kept going all-in in every hand! He managed to crack AK, AQ, AJ, QQ, 99 & other pairs with 53, T5, Q2, K3, etc. Even the players at the 5/10 table would stop playing to watch the all-in hands and the room roared every time his all-in garbage eliminated a player.
Since all the satellites have two winners, my buddy won by folding every single hand and waiting for the all-in player to eliminate everybody else! I've played in a few satellites that ended suprisingly fast, but this set the record for the quickest satellite ever with < 10 hands.
Right now just the Weds. If I happen to donk it to Day 3, I will drive back on Thursday night and come back for the noon start on Day3. If you have better Hilton deals, that would be great. Hilton is $129+ on Hotels.com. I can get Marriot for $84 which is decent. I don't need meal coupons, etc. Thanks very much.
As I posted on Facebook,
"The $275 super satellite pre-sale may end soon, so better buy ASAP. Note that if you already have a $2,500 entry (like me), you will not be allowed to buy the $275 card. It is possible that there will be some $275 cards withheld on February 18, but you will have to line up early like groupies to a Justin Bieber concert."
Fallsview badly needs more poker dealers and a blogger during WPT FPC. If the day comes that I can no longer win at poker, I wouldn't mind such part-time jobs. Both Fallsview and WPT actually liked/favourited/re-tweeted/shared my social media updates.
I busted out last night second last level of the night.
I played decent but I let this young kid get under my skin. I didn't show it but I wanted to choke him out after the third time he flashed a 4 after re-raising me off a pot heads up. he would re=raise more than the pot and I couldn't call with top pair crappy kicker or with middle pair .
where I went off the rails was in a 3 way pot with this little turd sniffer. I had AK clubs on the button and the turd sniffer raised and got one call before me so I re-raise just under 4x and get 2 callers.
flop comes KsJc3c so I have top pair and the nut flush draw. Turd sniffer bets out almost pot sized bet other guy calls and I jam for just under 22k. Ante was 200 blinds were 600-1200.
Turd sniffer tanks for a couple mins then folds and other guy snap calls with KJ off. board doesn't improve and I am out.
for me that hand was personal, I didn't even consider the other guy in the hand, I just wanted to crush the turd sniffer. I know I still loose the pot if he isn't in the hand but maybe I don't go broke.
HAd Will Faialla to my right for a couple hours. He was funny as hell. 4 or 5 times he had to correct the dealers. They were pretty bad, not regulars from the poker room that I saw on other tables.

Not AFAIK.
Hilton Hotel rates seem to be all sold out.
Extra good luck.
- Hilton: $99+, including "over $125 of daily bonus extras"
- Ramada: ~$79, including $50 Fallsview :h: & other vouchers
- Best Western: $69+
- Embassy Suites: $95+.
I'll give you 1% for a sweat not looking to make a bap really!
I believe they are still not sold out.

I meant by Fallsview, like how Playground does for their event. Thinking about it, I guess that's a bit of a troll question...
Hahahaha. You obviously have no clue about Fallsview.

Hope Steve and Buddy are still in it.
