While the structure and the late date change are both weird, one piece of good news is that "Aria room rates for this event are $138/night inclusive of taxes & resort fees – which is a great deal compared to the normal rate." IF it turns out to be impractical to bring my kid along, my hope is that I can stay up to eight nights with a forumer at Aria and go to the following events.

I got a quote of $938 from the Aria website (plus rip-off $28/night resort fees) for the four nights of July 3-6.
With the most online qualifiers headed to the US this year, I know a bunch of the WPT500 winners. There were only a few forumers I recognized that took shots, but a couple have now won a WPT500 satellite! :cool2: I asked a friend last week why he hadn't played any satellites, then he kept eliminating me since :-\ and won the $1,700 package on Wednesday. This is the final week to win the remaining ~13 seats at partypoker.com.
The entire official final table ... will receive a buy-in for the July 2015 event and hotel accommodation at ARIA Resort & Casino on top of their share of the prize pool.

No, the T&C states "dates to be determined by the promoter." In my case, I was given July 2-10 for 8 consecutive nights. I have already received the spending money from both packages, converted to Canadian dollars.
It's only if you win "a third or more $1,700 WPT500 package, the player will have the option to elect either: (i) an additional X3 (three) $500+65 WPT500 buy-ins; or (ii) an additional X2 (two) $500+65 WPT500 buy-ins and $500 cash towards travel and spending money."
Wow, nobody wanted an overlay shot at U$1,000,000 & partying with the Royal Flush Girls?! There were only TWO players registered for the WPT500 final satellite with a guaranteed $1,700 package. Only ONE forumer had to enter & that lucky person would have had a 2-in-3 chance of going to Las Vegas as I would have been open to a deal heads-up.
Instead, the satellite with huge overlay was CANCELLED even though it was guaranteed and there were players registered! I would have bankrolled ANYBODY to enter no-brainer potentially life-changing opportunities like this.

LOL at the last two players for the final WPT500 satellite for a seat only. Neither could afford the travel expenses of flying to Las Vegas, but they still played the satellite.

As I told folded, no. The Czech said he'll have to swim or walk to Vegas! It's weird that poker sites don't give enough spending money when their player base is worldwide.
