Ya know after reading up on it, I hope the buys are SO low that they grasp running a ppv with 2 weeks build up is just plain bad. The end with miz and r-truth probably even sucked!
Sigh, who flipped the doomswitch? I'm probably pretty mainstream like that but I like kelly kelly, orton and even John Cena I guess. I was thinking a bit about it, who can really contest the heavyweight title apart from Orton and Henry? Chritian and the masked emo guy just doesn't cut it right now, maybe shamus later but his personality will only get him so far. Orton and henry are the two who really has the personality and popularity to be champions right now, kinda wish there was one more to contest for the title
Guess close to everyone wanted to see Randy Orton beat the bully though, everything is just all wrong now
Smackdown has Big Show returning to challenge him, as well as Kane down the road, possibly Undertaker and definitely Sheamus. Could be some big brawls coming up.
I'm sure Mark is devestated to hear that Khali's contract ran out and he's returned to India to become a movie star.
Congratulations on completely screwing over any and all good will you had built up over the last couple of months. Your complete and total idiocy in believing in Hulk Hogan enough to not only resign him to another 2 year deal even though your ratings have not gone up in any way, shape or form, but to allow him to talk your creative team into not putting the belt on Bobby Roode is just beyond ridiculous.
Hope that when he takes off, along with numerous others that were loyal to you, that you realize there's no one to blame but yourselves.
I said earlier in the week that they were not giving Roode the strap. Too much build up to believe it would actually happen. Sadly, these guys will never figure it out . . . too many geniuses in the room to make a coherent plan and stick to it.
Just love the fact that it's the almighty Hogan pulling all the strings again. At least when he did it in WCW they made a few bucks from it. He's giving TNA absolutely nothing.
I had the gulp, pleasure of watching Bound for Glory......i mean bound for crap!!!!!
That was without a doubt a flop!!!!! I truly believe that no person in the writing crew has a freakin clue what they are doing and allowing someone who is oh 15 years past his time or prime to make bad decisions on a constant basis.
I do agree though that there was too much buildup to make it obvious that Roode wouldnt get the strap. Just a thought, how about switching it up within the buildup because for me it seemed like weeks of the same thing with roode over and over and over again......
And please someone just put abyss out to pasture. there is no point in having the man on tv!!!!
Do that and then I read at a taping something to the effect that Kurt Angle almost just layed down for James Storm, Im not saying dont do it or whatever but you build something up SO massive with a whole series of match and carry on and on and on, put it all to a damn near dead stop and give it away??
Hopefully John Cena becomes buried somehow by the rock and overshadowed only to make Del Rio and Punk huge for survivor series but time will tell.
gotta love the movie trailers aired on raw and smackdown as of late. There seems to be some kind of rule that if a movie isn't absolutely GUARANTEED to suck, wrestlers aren't allowed to starr in it
I still stand firmly by the idea that they need to do their movies the same way the Mexican luchadors did: cheesy ass monster movies! There's money to be made in Cena vs. The Mummy, Vince McMahon vs. The Werewolf and Sheamus vs. Dracula.
Well its Venegeance tonight and oh my its just a cracker of a card!!!!!!
Heres what i see happening followed by what I would like to see happen;
Beth Phoenix v. Eve for the Divas Title - Beth will win possibly with little help from Natalya.....Kelly Kelly snaps and goes off yet again. What I would like to happen is that during the course of her snapping.....her clothes come off.....would give me a reason to watch the match anyways
Air Boom v. Swagger & Ziggler for the Tag titles - I pray that Air Boom drops them and then maybe we can have something of a "feud" (oh god when was the last time that happened in the tag division). But with Booking the way it is......it likely ont happen. I just want to see Ziggler with 2 belts, build the guy up some more, hes one of the best on the roster.
Ziggler v. Zach Ryder for the US Title - If they put the belt on Ryder, I will Riot!!!!!
Sheamus v. Christian - Im hoping for a good match here.....Would they book Christian to win in this spot.......I dont think anyone would see that coming. I think Sheamus gets the win from them just being predictable. I would love to see Christian pull one off here though
Randy Orton v. Cody Rhodes - hmmmm....what this something new to watch????? I reallly hope this one comes off as a good match. I think they book Orton to win but Rhodes winning would give him a nice boost. I would like to see that mask go into 274 pieces though after Orton goes off after losing
Mark Henry v. Big Show (World Title) - Oh god, I hope I have a reason to leave during this one.....must find one. Putting the title on Show so soon after coming back??? I dont see it happening
Alberto Del Rio v. John Cena (WWE Title) - Can we leave the belt on someone more than a couple of weeks......Leave Berto with the belt and let him and Punk go at it at Survivor Series. I would like to see Ricardo Rodriguez got through the Spanish Announce Table after help berto keep the belt
Triple H & CM Punk v. The Awesome Truth - I would love to see the Awesome Truth pull this one off......just dont think they will let the other guys get knocked off. Hoping for something good to watch during this main event????
Wonder how close I will come to hitting this one on the nail????
Suggestion, and I have a feeling you're smart enough to know this already, don't ask him for stuff. If he offers, no problem. I know with the contacts I've made, they're always getting people asking for "a friend of a friend of mine" and it can get on their nerves.
Well.. Survivor Series thoughts in order IIRC (Y'arr, here be spoilers)
Ziggler / Morrison to open - great fucking match. Morrison IS good, and he may be working his way out of the WWE doghouse. Dolph deserved to win this match as he has consistently been the best thing on WWE programming for the past few months. Mic work is coming along well, his matches are stunningly good. If anything, he should already be main event feuding (Imagine if Miz and him went head to head - if Miz wasn't in a tag team?).
Ladies Match: Sigh. If you're going to push two gals (Natalya and Beth) as being tired of the "Barbie girl" Divas, they should have been DESTROYING everyone in their path. It's not like it's going to hurt the image of Kelly "I'm fucking hot" Kelly, Eve "I'm fucking hot minority" Torres or XXXXXXX "Who the fuck is this girl" XXXXXX. BUT, having said that, this match was what it was. Beth Phoenix should be the John Cena of women's title. She looks like she could hurt you. Have her and Natalya dominate, and then have Natalya become jealous and screwjob her or something - I don't know. I don't care about any of the Divas except Beth, Natalya, and Kharma (stupid pregnancy). They "future endeavored" Gail Kim, Maryse, and Michelle McCool left. Nobody else is interesting period.
I miss the days of more than one "Traditional" SS matches. The one they had was good mind you, if marred by Sin Cara's injury (unfortunate that, he seemed like he was finally "getting" the WWE style). Barrett winning and Cody Rhodes booked strong was the right moves. Poor Jack Swagger - honestly don't know what it is about this kid that he can't be taken seriously. Sheamus was booked right as well, and I wish they really pointed out that he was gang-attacked by EVERYONE on the other team before he was DQ'd, but they didn't.
Big Show vs. Henry
Fuck it, who cares. I can't believe I have to put up with another one of these fucking matches next month because this one ended in a DQ. Best case scenario, Show wins the strap, and faces my man Daniel Bryan at Wrestlemania. Mostly because I want Show to turn heel, and he'll be more entertaining than Kool-aid man.
Punk vs Del Rio
Solid match, loved the psychology of working CM's arm (right down to the point where he was only carrying the title in his right hand because of the injured left arm). I was surprised to see the clean tap-out from Del Rio, but it came off well. Alberto still looks good, Punk is just that much better. Hell, feud him with Ziggler (Alberto). Punk's "crowd surfing" really cemented him as a man of the people, and that's a good thing. He deserves all the success he's getting.
The Main event.
Exactly what I thought it would be. Dwayne isn't taking any harsh bumps. Cena's going to pull the miracle comeback hot tag. I wish they'd pinned Truth over Miz, because frankly Miz has more mileage and marketability behind him vs Truth. Make Truth look weak. It was good to see Rock hitting his signature moves, even though my favorite would have been the deep dropping Ricky Steamboat arm drags, but whatevs. Although my "ideal outcomes" differ greatly (Cena loses because Rock pisses off, or Cena turns heel), this is what I expected.
Bruce is humble, at least from what I've heard. Michael is an arrogant twat who thinks he's the man. Considering he's not even the best announcer in his own family, that doesn't fly with me.
I honestly do not believe we will see another announcer like the Fink who can legit pop a crowd with his ability. They've had a couple of good announcers since, including current Raw announcer Justin Roberts, but you just can't match Fink's delivery. Anyone who dreamed of wrestling at any point in their lifetime always heard Fink's voice in their head proclaiming them as the new champion.

Edit: oh wait...maybe I should say RKO one more time <.<
Guess close to everyone wanted to see Randy Orton beat the bully though, everything is just all wrong now
I'm sure Mark is devestated to hear that Khali's contract ran out and he's returned to India to become a movie star.
If I am a loyal viewer of both Raw and Smackdown, and go out of my way to watch your PPV's, it's fair to say I'm a big fan.
Further, should such a fan consistently skip ANY segment where your Heavyweight Champion is involved - you have the belt on the wrong guy.
Mark

"Don't trust anyone over (40)".
Hell, they could even work that into a great angle.
