As I was mentioneing to him I'd played with you before you lost almost all your chips. Oops nevermind. But then before I closed the table you were back over starting stack, go figure. Anyways great comeback and score!

Btw, only 49 people in a $10 rebuy tourney? Didn't think those actually existed anymore

With a prize pool of $2690, I leave it to you to calculate the number of rebuys. Beanie's rebuy tournie's are great practice for these.

Well, this is tiny by comparison, but I finally got a first instead of a final table, so I get to post! I tried one of those $4/180's you mentioned, and took it down:

PokerStars Tournament #25657215, No Limit Hold'em
    Buy-In: $4.00/$0.40

    Dear beanie42,

You finished the tournament in 1st place.
A $216.00 award has been credited to your Real Money account.
  • Nice, those are absolutely the way to go for small buy-in MTTs. Smaller field means less variance but the play is very poor so they're quite profitable, and making the final table more often lets you work on that important aspect of your game as well.

    Nice one!!!! (You too Mike!!)

I love those tournaments. I just wish they ran past 5pm.

  • There's nothing quite like the feeling of winning your first MTT eh? I still remember winning my first, a 20$ 180 sng....felt so damn good

And winning your first mtt at your first FT? Nice :D
  • yeah, I was quite pleased to say the least.. oddly enough, I decided that since I won a tournament, I have the money to go out and buy vol 1 of harrington to learn how to really play a tourny :P
  • Not my biggest score, but possibly my best hourly rate ever from a MTT. Took down a $33 speed tourney on Party for $2120. It took less than an hour and a half. People really don't know how to pushbot at all when the blinds are ginormous and don't get me started on how much I abused the bubble. These guys loved folding getting 3:1 or better to move up a spot.

Damn it Watts. Every time that I see someone has posted in this thread my response is "how much did Watts win this time?"

    LOL, gg sir.
