Ok, so i'm in the tourny.

Anyone else get picked? I'd like to see some more CPF members there.

It's an odd setup for the tourny but hey, it's free.

I got the email for the western tournament today. Traditionally I suck at tourneys, but I've had a surprising amount of success in the last week or two, so maybe I turned a corner and grok tourney play a bit better. We'll see, I guess.

On the website it mentions that there are 4 drawing dates of 200 people each, (I think once a week for the next four weeks). So, if you didn't get in in the first round, you probably still have a chance.

The first round looks like it's going to be a wonderful crap shoot. $2000 in chips with the lowest denomination being $25. Hopefully the blind levels will be long.

I dropped by River Rock today, and they're giving away at least some of their 200 seats in a series of live draws over the next few weeks. So that's another option - I would imagine Fallsview will do something similar.

I just got my confirmation about what group I play in and I'm in the first group at 8 am which means I have to be at the casino to register by at least 6am? Who setup these times?

Guess I'll have to pull an all-nighter.

Do not fret. There are still two more drawings for people to attend/play in this event. Patience grasshopper, I have pasted a short snip from the rules on the degree poker site.

There will be eight hundred (800) seats awarded for the DPC- ER by random draw. The remaining two hundred (200) seats will be awarded by the Niagara Fallsview Casino Resort for in-house promotion and walk-up entries at the sole discretion of the Casino. On the following dates May 5, May 12, May 19, June 1 st , 200 prize winners will be drawn for acceptance until the event registration is full.

Just signed up 2 days ago, hopefully I get in. I'll probably be taking my vacation that week anyways, so I'll probably head up to the casino since there should be a lot of players.

That's what I was thinking. Although I figure I could post and fold the first night if the tourny runs late (and I make it to the finals). Of course, I'm not hosting in the KWSOP.....
