    Thanks.

Great production quality. Quite surprising actually. Horrible poker, tho.
    You thought otherwise? ;)
  • Great work Mike.... Could you not have photo-shopped is some real players tho?

    Dealer looks competent....

Agreed! Great work on the video!

Also about the players. (What kind of name is "Tye" anyways?)

Serious props to Paul. He is brand new to the game a went on TV. Great sport!
  • enjoyed EP2 - thanks for sharing the recording

Agreed about Paul. It actually makes the show more interesting when not everyone is a seasoned veteran, so kudos to him for doing it.
  • I guess I wasn't chosen...your loss.

Did you ever play at Bristol? Don't recall you ever being there but I could be wrong..

Think way back when. Think cash game would be more entertaining. The hole cams are pretty good.
  • Cash game would be fun but I assume they would struggle with legalities since they are not in a casino. With a tourney format they don't have to mention anything about buy-in or prize money they can play just for the title of champion.

I was pretty amazed how good the hole card cams were. The editing must be a real bitch though with all the different camera feeds to manage (I assume they did that all in post-production)
  • Cash game would be a great idea. Just don't have any money on the table. Much more interesting than the shovebot luckfest we see at the end of these fast tourneys.
  • Yeah, production is pretty good. Thanks for posting!
  • Bravo!
    Very impressed, enjoyed it emmensely

Would have loved to be a part of it, but reality is... I do not have enough forehead to play at the table in episode 1

This is exactly the issue. There was no money in play here.

Actually the camera switches were handled live. There is an amazing amount of post-production though. All of the commentary and graphics were added later.
  • Excellent job on the announcing, Rob.. Nice analysis, Al. Who is that Ainsley?
  • Thanks so much for posting, this is fun. Good job announcing and commenting guys. Though 10h,8h is a "suited gapper" and not a suited connector. :-)
  • Not for nothing...

But the guy at Mr. Sub down from my work recognized me from TV... #famous

  • Episode 4 part 1. Part 2 coming later today.

  • Thanks a ton for putting this up, Mike! (just don't let our producer know) I'm especially glad since I found out that the DVD's are going to be $25 per episode, not for the season. (really? wtf?)

Episode 5 is this week and there's a moment where... well.... seriously, watch this episode.]

Al and I finished up with commentary on the finale last night and the Final Table does not disappoint.
  • I must admit rob and al commentary is actually worth probably as much as Gabe Kaplan gets paid and my guess would be they get nothing when Kaplan has probably half-retired on his wage haha. In all seriousness $25 a episode!!!? Its rogers closed circuit or whatever I don't even get it in my home when I'm 25 minutes out! At least air it somewhere real so I can watch it before investing too much money!

It does look rather smooth and made for TV poker which is better than re-runs of afterdark or WPT well done at least getting your foot in the door Rob.
  • Someone should tell rob the difference between the flop and the turn...

There's more where that came from. Consider it the Bristol Street Poker Drinking game.

    Take a shot when..

    - Rob F's up something completely obvious about the game.
    - Rob makes a very bad joke
    - Rob talks about how awesome the show / the play of the hand / the tournament / the players are.
    - Rob messes up Al's last name.

Free free to add your own!
  • Don't worry, you are better than stapes.
  • The videos are set as Unlisted so at least a Rogers person won't stumble into them on a YouTube search. Our little secret.

And Rob I am saving the DVDs I am burning of each episode. You are welcome to have them. The quality is only slightly better than YouTube though.
