Where's the love?
Where's the forgiveness?

I'm quite far from being Christian, thus I have no contractual obligation to forgive. I'd also rather hold a good firm grudge and exact vengeance at some point anyways. Far more satisfying and helps me sleep at night.

i think forgiveness is overrated. most people forgive for selfish reasons anyway i.e. in order to just let things go so i can relax and forget about my stress i choose to forgive the morons.
in general, i don't think people actually, truly forgive in most situations. it's similar to the "i forgive but i never forget" comment which makes absolutely no sense to me.
no sense? forgive me for asking but aren't you supposed to be the philosophy guy?
(thread derail) i'm not saying i don't understand what people mean (or think they mean) when they say that comment. i'm saying that i don't think it makes sense logically. i can explain if you want.
I pity you just as I pity that poor retarded man. And a lot of people I see at woodbine.
Doesn't stop you from taking their $$$ though, does it? Phelps will get his reward . . . I just do not think he will like it much.
Also, the Lord forgives those who are truly repentant of their sins, and who make a true atonement for same. This fucker did neither on this side of the grass, so I say let him rot.

Wow, I couldn't figure out why they were going on about him quitting so much tonight, until I figured out he'd kicked the bucket. Not a huge fan of the Conservative movement, but this was a shocker.
Didn't see this one coming. That's very unfortunate. I almost had a chance to meet him once years ago when he was going to speak at a conference with David Milgaard. My boss went instead.

This saddens me, as I had the honour to meet him and Babe Heffron in 2007.
R.I.P Sgt Guanere.
took you long enough, Bill . . . well done, just the same.
I think Phelps was my 2nd place pick last year after Zsa Zsa, and now he's on his way out. Life or lack thereof is never fair.
On a side note, David Brenner (Comedian) bit the dust.

Oh Happy Day!!!!
I'll keep it simple.
Good riddance.
the gay/lesbian/etc. community has been calling for no demonstrations, but i'm sure we'll see something.
Good for them for taking the high road. Hopefully he's taking the low road.
