Won't bother going over to the old casino as most of the players that bust out of the tournament will likely just head to the cash games at Fallsview.
People who bust out of the tournament will have a list a mile long and will spend 6 hours trying to get on the table unless they get bumped to the top like previous years
This is why fallsview will always be one pile of dog shit. Floor have no balls and no comprehension of how to run a room. Guess what if your name is on the list you get called once and if you're not around your name gets rolled down or off totally. Calling names 2 and 3 times is a waste. The satty should be run the same way. Call 10 names and if 10 bodies aren't sitting down call names till they have 10.
Stupid situations like the one above would never exist as players would be conditioned to be alert and ready to move if their name is visible on the screen.
Please the 80 percent and screw the 20, not the other way around.
$1,050 Satellite list with 24 names.
Call all 24 names, within 5 minutes, then announce open seating because....
Basically what I was trying to say is the staff has conditioned the players there knowing that they can sign up for everything and know their names will be called 4 times before they are moved off the list.
If someone can confirm that names are called once and then a minute later a final call is made and they are deleted I may decide to go back to play in that establishment.
Otherwise the place is a complete joke and yes I can voice my opinion because I have played all over and for many years and I'm not an ass hole to dealers or floor staff ever, I'm polite, I tip a dollar when I win a hand and I follow proper poker etiquette.
So to get me aggravated enough to make sure I don't ever come back to a venue again is pretty bad.
With that being said I would love to sit down with floor staff and management anytime they would like to provide objective information that doesn't go against olg rules that can be implemented.
The problem is it will upset their regulars who have basically made sure they get their way by throwing temper tantrums when they don't get their table change or if the dealer makes an innocent mistake.
I would run that room like a military base and it would be so efficient people would love to be on the waiting list knowing that they would be treated objectively and fairly

Fallsview could probably improve on this how?
Don't hold them on an on demand basis. Schedule them at specific times. Let people register a week in advance for a specific sat. Add more to the schedule as the SATs fill up. Pay cash instead of tickets if the sat doesn't sell out.
Per TDA rules, late registrants will be sold a full stack (unlike silly Brantford where unsold dead stacks get blinded off). For example, when forumers make the final table on Day 3 of the $1100 event, we have until Level 9 to late register for the $2500 event with a full stack. We won't be allowed to multi-table.
My $2500 voucher is waiting at the cage for me. I plan to arrive about an hour before start time. Do people think this will be sufficient? Should I expect a lineup/wait to claim my voucher and register?

Why is a 10 player sit and go satellite list getting to 24 players? That is the reason only 5 are showing up. You need 10 players but don't call anyone until you have 24 players.

I'm assuming they start calling the names after 4+ hours when the list hits 24 names?
That's exactly the reason why I never bothered going anymore to play satellites, it's not worth the time to be waiting around forever.
Assume the average working Joe just wants to play satellites and takes a day off work to go, they drive 1.5 hours from Toronto. Show up, has to wait 4 hours for a satellite, plays one, gets knocked out in 1 hour, waits another 4 hours, most likely misses their name cause they are hungry and goes eat and can't hear their name called. Then drives 1.5 hours home so they can make it to work the next day.
Good job Fallsview for making regular people spend like 10 hours to play 1 hour of poker.
Just checked in here also, fallsview is super busy today from teh family day stuff.
Looking out my window and the falls are really trippy atm, the entire bottom of the horseshoe is near frozen with a chasm of ice in the middle like 60-80 feet deep. Will post a pic after lunch.
Just left the 1/2 after a bad beat. One person raised to 15 pre-flop, one person calls the 15, and I re-raise all-in to $80 pre-flop( Not the best play at all but I was about 10 beer in at that point) One calls the all-in and the other guy folds. I turn over QQ, and he turns over 1010.... He hits his 10 on the flop and the board runs out dry .... Such a bad beat but that's poker..
they still running 1/2 at Niagara? I thought they were only running 2/5 there this week with no 1/2?
Probably be lots of extra seats this morning with people changing their plans to drive to Fallsview from the GTA given the weather. Good luck to those that are playing in the $1k.
1/2 will probably run at niagara until thursday at least, also not sure if niagara is open all night or the usual close at 6am open at 12 pm on weekdays.
Somebody just bought for $1,500. I would consider selling my own entry if it was a little higher than that. I have one left that I won in my Fallsview account that I'll sell soon before I retire to Embassy Suites for the night.
Heard they are going for 1800. What you end up doing?

Just got off the phone with casino niagara poker room. They are NOT changing their hours at all. Guess its fallsview at 8am for an early morning session before the super satellite.

Have the $1,050 and $550 CASH satellites gone dead yet since the $235 and $125 satellites are no longer being run?
that ice wall on bottom left, like 80 feet tall what what
I will be coming to play some 1/2 at niagara, will be wearing grey and black shirt and eyeglasses.
Does anyone know someone selling a ticket for tomorrow, im at fallsview right now.
Heading to fallsview now!

Today's outfit: Black/red Canada sweater-green/yellow Oakland As hat. If you see me say hey!

Honestly, its not Fallsviews fault that people are paying 1800 for a seat in an 1100 tournament. Thats obscene, and these people are flat out idiots.
