  • was not drunk or high.

    fail, no excuse
  • Once the satty's are all done you might be allowed to cash your ticket in at the cage. Did it last year and was not drunk or high.

FYP. But really should add "At the discretion of the TD/CSM". Past events do NOT prove future continuity.

And this is why fallsview is considered to be the worst run poker room in North America. At the discretion??? Either a yes or no, should not be whether they feel like being a prick or not

So the bucket of funds essentially in holding that goes unused goes back to the house?

Did she personally sign pkrfce9's shaved balls?

I'll be living at Fallsview from tonight on, so if anybody wants to sell their $550 or $1050 vouchers, $2,500 or $5K entries, please PM me.

That's between Liv and pkrfce9 :) Living at Fallsview, how did u swing that with the wifey? Dont you live 1/2 an hour away? hotels equal extra rake Buddy.
  • Okay....I'm not disputing TP's experience last year at the cage. I phoned down to Fallsview yesterday to get confirmation one way or the other and the person at the cage said that you cannot cash the satelite step in for cash. Maybe it depends on the person you talk to, maybe it doesn't...
As others have mentioned here...the satelites are not running all the time and it seems that even with long lists of "interested players", it's hard to get the sats going. I think it is wrong if they end up withholding the pool of cash when all of the vouchers/steps have not been used.
  • The $275 WPT Fallsview super satellite on February 19 to the $2,500 event has sold out! For the first time, there were four satellite tables running on Saturday.

It was disappointing that the $1,050 satellite did not run last night. At first I regretted sitting down at a lower buy-in satellite when they soon called the $1,050 list with 25 names on it. However, silly players continue to sign up for the $1,050 then don't bother showing up with their $1,050 chips/voucher or neglect to take their name off the &^%$#@! list. :( I won my satellite while the ~8 $1,050 players wasted an hour waiting for non-existent players before it was finally cancelled,

Managed to scoop a $235 feeder for $1k into the main, now have to figure out when the hell these things actually run.
  • Do you know how close the 2500 and 5k is to selling out?
  • I asked this morning at the end of my session and I was told that 400 seats have already been sold for the $2,500, so it will probably sell out by the super satellite (which is now sold out). I am now betting the over of 400+ for the $5K.

  • $275 super sat seat for sale...first $500 gets it! Just kidding Buddy :)
  • BF do you know how many entrants the $275 super satellite was capped at?

Now I'm dying to know what the "WHOOPS" was! Was it a reply to pokerJAH's posts?

I thought it was 400 seats. Probably going to be a bigger mark-up on the $275 satellite seats given they are a lot cheaper and more players will want to take a shot at this tournament.
  • It's supposed to be 400 entries and start at 3 PM, but as always, the casino "reserves the right to change or cancel these tournaments at any time."

  • I'm looking to buy a $1100 Ticket. If anyone selling, please PM me. Thanks.
  • I won a bunch of satellites, so I have to sell all my extras, preferably by the 17th, even though prices will probably be highest just before each of the sold-out tournaments.

  • just give him a price ffs, stop trying to upsell it
  • Here is my take;

Law of supply and demand, if he can get more why not. People are always selling tickets for face value or more... how about Leaf tickets at " face value"...:bs: they buy the season tickets for less than face value and sell them at cost...(sure its face value).

A couple of years ago I won 2 seats to the Fallsview $1000.00 and sold one of them for $1300, cause that was the going rate. I won a $2500.00 seat also and sold it for $ 2200.00 CAUSE THAT WAS THE GOING RATE.
  • I refuse to feel sorry for anyone that has to pay a mark up on a 1k given that at this point, people have months to get be for it sells out, knowing it will sell. I didn't pre-order a PS4 and if I wanted one for Christmas or even know, I pay going rate...but I could have got it for face value if I planned better...same deal
  • Go the day of the 1k early, get a seat in the cash game and make it known right away you want a seat for the 1k but will only pay 1k or less (I said 800 last time) word travels fast and if people have them still they will come up to you 5mins before tourney starts and give it to you, if not sit and play cash and make what would have been a min cash and leave by 4pm home for dinner and money in your pocket.

Think about this, if you thought you were so +ev you would have bought a ticket a long time ago.
  • I plan to go down now for only the Thursday morning and stick to cash games.

Can someone confirm the 5/10 is $1k min and $5k max. Also, will 2/5 still be $500 max during the WPT? Seems like a much better option to play 500BB max 5/10 vs 100BB 2/5, even if you buy in short for the 5/10 game. Rather have everyone starting with 100BB, versus a lot of players that buy in short for the 2/5 game.
  • Could be wrong, but I think it's usually $200-$2000 for 5/10 but maybe they will change it for WPT week?
  • The poker room has been ordered to stop running the lowest $125 and $235 satellites. :( I already know this means that there will not be enough players for the $1,050 and possibly the $550 satellites too. My name just got called & there are only three of us willing to play the $1,050.

Since the $125 satellites have been terminated, the $550 satellite failed to run later. Then stoopid players signed up for the $1,050, but when the list of over ten names were called, only three of us (with vouchers) bothered to show up! If I didn't have a new iPad to play with (where I can watch the Olympics & other live TV shows if I wanted to) & if I didn't enjoy talking to dealers while wasting 30-60 minutes for $1050 and $550 satellites that will fail to run, I would be going on life tilt like the other enraged players.

pokerJAH, I confirmed with the pit manager that the 5/10 is and will continue to be $500 min, $2000 max during WPT week, i.e., 50-200 BB. There will be a maximum of only two 2/5 tables running.
  • Thanks, so I assume the 2/5 will be $1k max? Likely sign up for both and see which has the better action. Won't bother going over to the old casino as most of the players that bust out of the tournament will likely just head to the cash games at Fallsview.
  • You're welcome.
No, see my Tournament and Casino Guide for Ontario.

This is why fallsview will always be one pile of dog shit. Floor have no balls and no comprehension of how to run a room. Guess what if your name is on the list you get called once and if you're not around your name gets rolled down or off totally. Calling names 2 and 3 times is a waste. The satty should be run the same way. Call 10 names and if 10 bodies aren't sitting down call names till they have 10.

Stupid situations like the one above would never exist as players would be conditioned to be alert and ready to move if their name is visible on the screen.

Please the 80 percent and screw the 20, not the other way around.
  • 2-5 will never be max 1k at fallsview for the simple reason that it pushes bad players away. It's enough of a nitfest as it is.
