Just to be clear turn the name of this thread off, I live in woodstock, almost had a stroke as I some how DIDNT KNOW!!! there were tables, now quite sad there isnt....ah well PLO this eve at seneca for me!
Coles Notes:
I guess comp donked off his $60 buy in and stormed out without a goodbye.
JAH seriously lowered his hourly win rate. I don't get calling a $15 raise pf with j6s against the tightest player at the table when this is her first raise since she got there over an hour ago and she is a bit short stacked.
I believe bf booked a small loss. Plus he lost the credit card roulette for dinner. A really bad beat since I had already offered to buy. But thanks. The Reuben was uninspired though.
I was down most of the day but went on a tear for the last hour against a generous cannon and booked nearly a 400 profit.
I need to post s couple questions in the strategy section. I hope I can get some advice.
pkrface, was the tight player you're talking about the older lady "winner"? LOL I was playing with her at 1-2 NL yesterday morning. She always plays super short and super tight. Saw her come back last night after busting at our 1-2 table to play 2-5 last night.
I also noticed the copycat GTA POKER on the wait list last night on my way back from a snack/bathroom break lol.
My session was a major roller coaster. Started off down about 575 through the first 4 or 5 hours before grinding back to finish up 150. I was sitting at table 4 and was driving action like crazy. Myself and a guy named Mike were both getting to be big stacks and we were loosening the table huge. Worked well for us, as some players tilted and were pushing back, despite not being able to play a loose-aggressive style very well. That's what helped us both get back to even and beyond.
Around 7:30-8:00 we had $4000 on the table (the most I've seen on a 1-2 table by a wide margin in my few trips to Woodbine). Great action kept me there until 10:15 (I was going to leave around 8ish). Good thing too, because, as mentioned, the loosening of the table helped me finished in the black (win rate sucked though as it took 11 hours to win everything back and finish up 150).
If I didn't have to leave to pick up my dad in Scarborough, I definitely would've stayed on until the action slowed.

I'll have you know I bought in for $250. which is what I had on my card.. I played just over 3 hours, which is about as long as I like to play now. Unless I am at a real lively fun table I start falling asleep and lose concentration.
Cashed out with about that much of a loss ($60.) though. Was down about $90 early after raising only small in the cutoff with KK (I opened). Lady on the button who had the $90. called along with BB I think. Flop K, brick, brick, 2 hearts. She has K,9 hearts and you know where this went.. I bet $16 on the flop and we got it in. When you called me I was just pulling onto the 427 south. You are right I should have said goodbye, was rude of me.. Apologies.

That was the older woman with the white parka? Not her but she sat beside me later on and the one hand she won I said winner winner chicken dinner and she laughed like it was the first time she heard that. The one jah had his dalliance with was an older Asian woman with 3 initials for her name. I think jwl or something. I kept thinking nwa whenever I saw her name.
Oh ya and I thought some guy was going to start a fight with jah. Apparently he took exception to his talking during heads up with another player trying to entice a call. Chico wasn't even in the hand so I don't know why he got so agitated.
You know it didn't go well when no one is bragging about hourlys
Anyone have pics of the place yet for us ill informed?
Played a total of approx. 17 hours over 4 trips, up $86. so that's $5.06 per hour, sound good? Does not include expenses. Not sure if we can take pics although I'll try next trip. Remind me, I'm old.. The room does look ok, just that it's in the middle of lots of slot machines surrounded only by a light partition so slot machine noise is obvious..

of course you're not allowed...don't bring your Polaroid with the flash cubes
Picture this: a large area with 14 10-seat electronic tables filled with 80% terrible players 10% bad players 5% tags and 5% wildcards. Throw in a few women in the 1st and 3rd categories. Add a bunch of large screen tvs around the room with the sign up lists and various sports. The lighting is dimmer than a regular poker room.

I'm pretty sure that GTA Poker is the real deal.

In my limited time I haven't seen it running... Just an interest list..
Juicy...but VERY swingy.
Your comment is assuming players are competent and know the EV/Equity in a hand. They most likely do not
Still pretty swingy
nah, he's well beyond that.. Days of folding AA preflop are well behind him...
