    Sorry Phili for the hijack.

It's o.k. anything Vegas has to be good.:wink2:
  • Well, not those shorts . . . Jeez, Johnnie, what were you thinking?
  • I thought cameras stopped working at the Nevada border.

(or maybe I am just now wishing they did)
  • So had a "doh" moment, figured out the terminal problem, it's terminal 3 at las vegas airport, lol.

Anyway we planned the trip out a bit more today, as we don't know how long we will be at each property it will be kinda a go with the flow.

1st night is just checking out our hotel and casino property due to won't be arriving till dinner time.

1st full day going to check out Aria, Ceaser's and Bellagio. If ahead of schedule may try and get a way over to the rio.

2nd day mgm grand, get on monorail and go to venetian, maybe check out that area if their is time and than head downtown for the freemont experience.

3rd day maybe some lounging by the pool for a bit than go see new york new york, luxor and Mandalay bay.

I will be bringing my phone which has a camera and video recorder so I hope to take lot's of pictures and maybe some video but not sure. :)
  • 12 sleeps to Vegas!:D
  • Better to get it now...
  • glad to see you are going to visit some of the better casino/hotels. Try and squeeze in some poker while you are there. Also, as suggested, get player cards at all properties and make sure you use them for everything.

Are you seeing any shows while you are there? I would recommend Love (if you like the Beatles) and KA. You can get tickets 50% off on the day of the show on the strip. Or check online as there are lots of discount codes. If you want to save on restaurants, I would highly recommend tix4tonight (they are all over the strip). You pay a flat amount (say $10), and it gets you a 50% off coupon for your entire purchase at a specific restaurant (for the entire group). They have many to choose from. You can save quite a bit if you are flexible on restaurants. They have discounts for most of the restaurants in the main hotels.

  • what dates are you there maybe ill head down;)
  • are you playing poker while you are there??

    will there be graphs?????
  • ahahahahaha reading this trip report on 2p2 about seeing the big names at Aria and noone cares as they are in there all the time.

quick Vegas TR / and maybe a helpful guide for Vegas noobs - Las Vegas Lifestyle Forum - Las Vegas Entertainment and Living Information

    p.s.

Will be arriving in Vegas at this time next week ;)
  • So leaving tomorrow and see the next 3 days in Vegas they are calling for thunder showers, THIS SUCKS! :( Might have to change the plans around on what days I am going to see what etc etc.

I want to walk the strip and get some sun at the same time!

Do me a favor and pray for the good weather.:-[

On a happier note not related to the topic, we found a new house today with only 2 weeks left before we have to be out of our current house, so much for downsizing as it's a bigger house, lol

a/c, electric garage door opener and a fireplace! bit of a deck and a good sized backyard so good for Ivey poker home games maybe?:p

So when back from Vegas gotta pack like mad.:eek2:
  • Find a place to sit with a nice view of the thunderstorm. It will be much more of a show than anything you've seen in Ontario.
  • Good Luck Philli!
  • this cannot end well

Maybe if you got a place of your own, your parents could downsize.

I love the "we" found a new house. :D

Well does waiting for the tram count? We just made it for cover during the thunderstorm and heavy rain Tuesday.

We were of course not in the area where their was flash flooding, but the taxi driver said they still can't find a person that got washed away.
  • Just got home guys, the plane ride was not good we hit alot of turbulence so I am not feeling too good, plus exhausted.

Will post a trip report in the next couple of days and will try to post photos. These photos are not anything special and will be more just for others that have not been like myself.
  • So did you sleep at all there? Most don't their first time..
