I will be there for 2 weeks in feb 1st to 15. first two nites at imperial palace. Trying it as Jonneyt sugested. Staying at Strat and Fitz the rest to use my comps.

This is a quick answer to your question. Do a search on sites like
Discount Las Vegas Hotels - i4vegas.com
for prices and then go to the hotel site, find out if you can sign up for their comps card on the web site like

I always call as sometimes they will give you a better rate.
Every casino that you go to while down there make sure you get a comps card. you will most likely get free stuff. (anything fm a free deck of cards to a suitcase. by signing up they will send you info in the mail/email of prices and free nites.
I will put more info in this tread later. ie bus schedule, where to avoid, show tickets and more.
Getting around the strip.
Here is a good site that will save me some typing.

Ps if you don't pay for the bus and a cop comes on to
check tickets you can get a fine.
Print out a map of the bus route before you go so you can
see if it will be the deuce or the express bus that you
want to take. They are the same price and accept the same
tickets. You must have exact bills for bus.
Shopping
When ever I go with my better half or shopping for her I go
to the South Las Vegas Premium outlet Center. It has the
best selection and prices of all the stuff i don't really
need :P

You will beable to take the express from most hotels to get there.
Getting From the airport to your hotel
The shuttles are located just outside the bagage claim doors.
Get a return ticket for best price But DO NOT USE A CREDIT
CARD FOR CLS LIMO as i have read about may ppl getting scammed
for up to $5000
I recomend cash for all transport.
it is no more than $20 return to any hotel by shuttle
service on the strip and Freemont Street.
Limo's are comped depending on slot and table play to.
Hotel Choices
There are many to choose from and for me to say
"stay at this hotel it is the best" would be wrong
of me, so I will tell you some of the stuff to consider.
If you are a non smoker I would stay in a newer hotel/casino or a
remodeled one as the smell of smoke in the older ones can be
overwelling.
Location location location.
If it is your first time in Vegas I would say you have two mayjor
choices, Downtown (Freemont) or Centered on the the strip.
If you stay Downtown i would sugest Golden Nugget (this is with better half)
Most expensive and Cleanest of surounding area. Indoor pool
On the strip any of the big name hotels are going to be clean
and have great location. It all comes down to what u want to
experence and pay.
I found the rooms at MGM small but nice. Long walks to the room.
Stratospher Nice remodeled rooms, nice beds, Nice suits for a decent price.
no smoke smell but not a good safe area to be walking around outside.
A bit far to walk to other hotels on the stip and you should not walk
to freemont from here. ( I like staying here) i have been going here for years.
Where ever you stay i would sugest not right beside the elevator, it will
probally keep you up.
If you have a problem with your room get sorted out right away as this is
your vacation.
Most hotels have resort fees and fees for fridges and microwaves. Always be extra
polite when dealing with hotel staff and these things can be free.
The price you pay should be inline with what u expect for your trip.
Once you have a comp card and the hotels start sending you stuff in the mail
like two nite free, you can usually use that for any type of room ie suite.
Vegas Shows
What does she want to see? look for half price tickets online before you go
if it is a must see. The shows in vegas are some of the best to see

Read lots of reviews as we were going to go see Criss Angel but after all the
bad reviews didn't and went to see Absinthe (very crude very funny)recomended
for most ppl on pfc.

I would ask them to get the friday and saturday comped instead of weeknties. they might do that for you. I usually try to get the most expensive nites comped.
