I am not, in any way, defending Full Tilt or Howard Lederer. They were totally incompetent and had zero experience running a business. I do not think they intentionally stole people's money, but I do think the company was grossly mismanaged.

The above statement does not mean they should be put to death.

They tried to run a business and failed miserably. They are being held accountable by the DOJ. They will be pariahs in the poker community for the rest of their lives. I think that is punishment enough.

• POKERSTARS DETAILS PLANS FOR FULL TILT POKER RE-LAUNCH AND
PAYMENT OF $184 MILLION TO PLAYERS

FullTiltPoker.com to re-launch in first week of November

ONCHAN, ISLE OF MAN – September 24, 2012 – PokerStars revealed details of its plan to repay $184 million to former customers of Full Tilt Poker outside of the United States of America and announced that FullTiltPoker.com will re-launch during the first week of November.

PokerStars has been working with regulators in all relevant jurisdictions to ensure that repayment is conducted in strict compliance with local regulatory requirements that ensure the security of player accounts and confirmation of the rightful ownership of those accounts.

Depending upon their jurisdiction, players will follow slightly different processes for accessing their funds.*

·******** France, Spain, Denmark, Estonia and Belgium:* In order to comply with local regulations, former Full Tilt Poker players will be repaid through the locally-licensed PokerStars platform.* Players will ‘pair’ a PokerStars account with their Full Tilt account allowing them to withdraw or use their balances on the licensed PokerStars site.

·******** In Italy, PokerStars is working with regulators to determine the appropriate process to ensure compliance with local regulations.* Those details will be announced as soon as possible.

·******** In all other markets (with the exception of the USA), Full Tilt Poker players will have full access to their accounts when Online Poker - Play Online at Full Tilt Poker Room re-launches during the first week of November.

PokerStars received the assets of Full Tilt Poker this summer under a wide-ranging agreement with the U.S. Department of Justice.* As part of that agreement, PokerStars committed to repaying the former Full Tilt Poker players outside of the United States.* The total of those balances is USD$184 million.** PokerStars also paid the U.S. Government USD$547 million, which will in part be used to reimburse former Full Tilt Poker customers in the United States through a remission process to be administered by the U.S. Government.

About PokerStars:
PokerStars operates PokerStars.com, the world’s most popular online poker site that serves the world’s largest poker community with more than 49 million registered members since it launched in December 2001. It is the first choice of the world’s top players, with more daily tournaments than anywhere else, and with the best security online. More hands have been dealt on PokerStars.com than on any other site; that’s over 85 billion hands and more than 590 million tournaments played.
*
PokerStars.com and PokerStars.eu operate worldwide under licenses from the Isle of Man and Malta governments, respectively. PokerStars also operates under separate government licenses in Belgium, Denmark, Estonia, France, Italy and Spain.

So this means that if I so desire, there will be nothing preventing me from withdrawing? Is that correct?? Would there be an option to transfer FT balance to P* account as they will be doing in other jurisdications?

This.

I would also want to consider this option. I never played on FT much anyways as I just didn't enjoy the interface as much as P*. Just talking $100 either way, but hey whatever, it's mine and I want it back.
• Yes in the release it mentions that $ is transferrable between stars and ft
• WEEEEEEEEEEEE, it will still be continuous shuffle rigged and not fixed deck rigged like on stars.;)

For you mtt guys........

14. Any chance you will release your tournament schedule before re-launch?

- Nope. It won't be very different from the schedule you last saw in June of last year. The guarantees will all be different, and we may change some times here and there to better match the time zones of our current player base, but it will all feel very familiar.

Dear T8urmoney,

Full Tilt Poker will re-launch under new ownership on November 6th, 2012.

The Rational Group, which owns and operates PokerStars, acquired assets of Full Tilt Poker in August 2012 and appointed new senior management to re-open and operate the site as a separate brand to PokerStars, providing the online poker community with another high-quality poker platform.

Following re-launch, you will have complete access to your account - including your full balance - and you can once again play on the innovative online poker platform that made Full Tilt Poker home to serious online poker players.

This means you'll soon be able to return to the Full Tilt Poker games and tournaments that you've known and loved for years, secure in the knowledge that your experience is now backed by the same account security and game integrity that millions of PokerStars players have trusted for more than 10 years.

Full Tilt Poker now operates under a license in Isle of Man, which is among the most trusted and rigorous e-gaming regulatory jurisdictions in the world. The Isle of Man Gambling Supervision Commission maintains vigilant standards for e-gaming, particularly the safeguarding of player funds. Information on these standards can be found here.

Since August, we've been carefully reviewing all Full Tilt player accounts in preparation for re-opening. In the coming weeks we will be completing the restoration of all non-US player accounts including yours, in preparation for re-launch day.

What this will mean for you:
• normal access to your Full Tilt Poker player account with your current password
• renewed access to all Full Tilt Poker real and play-money games
• access to your total balance without restriction, including withdrawals
We thank you for your patience during this time. We will update you further as re-launch day approaches. For more information please see our Full Tilt Poker account FAQ.

In the meantime, we welcome your feedback and ideas to help make Full Tilt Poker your number one poker site - please click here to visit the feedback page.

• I still have not received a email, anyone else not get one also?
• I got one regarding the new bonus/rakeback sytem..
Hi Bcboy72,

We would like to share some pre-launch information with you about the changes planned to Full Tilt Poker’s existing loyalty program offering.

Full Tilt Poker will re-open on Tuesday, November 6th. On that day, a comprehensive player rewards program will be introduced, which will replace the Iron Man Challenge, Black Card and affiliate-paid rakeback programs.

The way in which players are rewarded will be greatly simplified, with eligible players receiving weekly cash payments. These payments will be based on the number of Full Tilt Points accumulated, at a rate of up to $2.50 for every 100 Full Tilt Points earned.

The weekly payments will differ from affiliate-paid rakeback in that the amounts you receive will not be reduced as a result of the various marketing costs you incur (for example, if you spend points in the Full Tilt Store) or other fees.

We will send you more information on the introduction of our new player rewards program, and on the transition of players from the Iron Man Challenge and Black Card programs, on Tuesday, November 6th. If you are eligible to receive the 2011 Iron Man Mid-Year Bonus, it will be credited to your account upon re-launch.

We look forward to welcoming you back to Full Tilt Poker.

nope. still no freedom in the great and free US of A. So much freedom you can taste it down there. ah but we beat the dead horse with this argument no?

I think there is a post around here somewhere that I put how much I still had on FTP in. Otherwise I'm not sure. can't be more than $100.00 though as my entertainment budget won't let me deposit more than that and I don't remember having a good run up before the blackout. (found it, page two of this very thread even.....$55 score)

Gus Hanson seems to be the first new face of the site. Wonder how many of team FTP will be back? One of them should grow their hair out and wear a cowboy hat for kicks.

good luck all.
• haven't received an email from FTP yet, although I may have just deleted it from my spam folder without noticing it.
