I think we should set down some guidelines of stipulations in black and white of white we will or won't accept and if later the guidelines are broken we'll all freAK OUT AND CALL IT A CONSPIRACY!!!!!!!!
Meanwhile the lawbreakers look like the good guys, paying the judge with funds that they earned by breaking his rules. Does anyone else find that fuacked up or just me?
Sounds like the rich people make the laws.
Nah, to extreme again...how about, you all lose your houses for being irresponsible with intrest rates, but we'll loan the big banks money to keep their bonuses?
Yet some one can steal millions from players, hide millions and try to cover up more, blatantly say f you I'll find the loopholes and do it anyway, get charged and then shake hands for a minimal amount later because he's white collar.
I'm confused a little and when I read around I know others are too, but I don't know who's correct.
We weren't all playing poker and then the money dried up.....everything was going and then the us government shut down online poker.
People seem to be acting as if the fraudsters lost all their money and then the government stepped in to get it back for us.
Also the delay was a bureaucratic one was it not?
Also I don't understand what pokerstars is buying?
There are paying our 400 million or something to the players why?
For the software? A kid in his basement can do it.
For the brand? Its tainted
For the rights to own the poker monopoly in the US? That bribery.
1) Solves their problems with the DOJ
2) Allows them to potentially re-enter the US market
3) Prevents someone else from buying the only other poker software that people really like. Stars know a significant % of people prefer FTP software and rakeback business model
4) Increases their ROW market share even more
5) Creates good will with their PS players who had money on Tilt
6) Creates good will for online poker overall
7) Establishes undying loyalty when US online poker is a reality and competition ramps up.
8) Is still a viably profitable company when backed by their integrity and reputation. Only they could save the tarnished brand.
9) they got a great price on it conisdering they were likey going to be paying 500m in fines regardless
To me over half of these can be written: pressure from the American government.
For those that haven't watched Negreanu's latest video rant, he praises Stars up and down for this, is pretty carefull when talking about DoJ and US refunds and throws out "winter" and November for relaunch for ROW. He also talks about sponsership oppurtunity and explains not so much for US players.
I built up a full tilt bankroll of high five figures from freerolls.
Does this mean I get nothing back?
And you kept it all on Tilt in spite of the rumblings? Man.. Live on the edge or what... That "may" be the issue for US players but ROW, I think you're ok..

Not yet. But I assume this will take weeks or months to get through. I doubt very much of hearing anything in the next couple of weeks or month or more.

You mean the $100 I had on there doesn't make me a high roller? My self esteem just dropped.
