  • Still 25 min? And you need to switch around the 200/400 and the one after it. Actually this is way too gradual I think. Do you want me to suggest a structure that will end when you want it? Don't want to step on any toes but this one is a little disjointed.. When do you want it to end?
  • compuease wrote: »

Yes Sir . Should take about the same time as the last 1.

With this structure it should run about 10 1/2 hrs plus breaks with 24 runners.

8Pm or a little later is fine.

Ok so you want it to end between 8 and say 9 pm, and not use antes? This structure won't do it... Would you like me to suggest one with 10K starting chips and starting at 25/50?
  • Compuease post the new structure your proposing..... I think I'll play but I don't want to be there all night if I get lucky/run good. It's over an hour drive back home from this.
  • Tentative please. I'll confirm before my game.

Okay . I know you are better at this than I am. You've bee at it since poker was invented lol:)

How about this? Same structure as WSOP intermediate events. Pretty standard. Antes starting at level 5. If you do not want antes it will go somewhat longer, maybe 1/2 hour. You can time breaks at chip ups and add in extra breaks as you see fit, maybe end of levels 4,8,12 & 15? Dinner break at end of level 8 which would be about 5pm..

    1 - 25 50
    2 - 50 100
    3 - 75 150
    4 - 100 200
    5 - 25 100 200
    6 - 25 150 300
    7 - 50 200 400
    8 - 75 300 600
    Remove $25 Chips
    9 - 100 400 800
    10 -100 500 1,000
    11 - 100 600 1,200
    12 - 200 800 1,600
    13 - 300 1,000 2,000
    14 - 300 1,200 2,400
    15 - 400 1,500 3,000
    Remove $100 Chips
    16 - 500 2,000 4,000
    17 - 500 3,000 6,000
    Remove $500 Chips
    18 - 1,000 4,000 8,000
    19 - 1,000 5,000 10,000
    20 - 1,000 6,000 12,000
    21 - 2,000 8,000 16,000
    22 - 3,000 10,000 20,000
    23 - 3,000 12,000 24,000
    24 - 4,000 15,000 30,000

If we have 10k chips to start it should end at about level 16 or 17 with 24 players. Now to end it between 8 and 9pm and have a 30 min plus say 3 10 min breaks you will need 25 min levels. End of level 16 would be at approx 8:40 pm including the breaks. Simplest way to do these is keep the structures the same but vary blind lengths and starting chips to end it when you want. You will usually find that a tournament will end when the BB is approx 1/40 to 1/60th of the total chips in play barring any deals.
  • I have seen that blind structure somewhere before but I can't put my finger on it. They look so good, you better put me in.

Judging by past performance, I think you should be okay Joe, no matter what blinds he uses.:)

As I said, WSOP intermediate structure, isn't it the same as you use? Kinda rules you out for FT though doesn't it? :)
  • ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
Yes and probably unless he gets 8 players or less.

Good for me. So this will be the structure.

You have the numbers and denomination of chips to support this?
  • compuease wrote: »

I have chips Just 3 cheap sets until I get out to buy all of my new stuff.
I will probably borrow 1 poker table and some extra chairs. I am sure someone will not mind lending it for the day.

Dining Room table and fold up with a topper will easily sit 8 all comfy. I should be able to set 2 in the lower living room. I just have to move some furniture around that morning.

Good for cards as I haven't used the Piatniks I got from Milo, But I will have to find some card protectors to fit as they are a bit shorter and wider than the usual.

I also have the tournament director on the lap top. Everything should be fine.
