Very nice Steve, I also plan on playing there next week. Can you tell me how many runners they had?
Are you going to give a GN event a try as well?
113 runners
GN will have to wait until I go back to Vegas July 1 to July 9. I head home today
Binions taxes 30% with any winnings of $5210 or more, 1st place in my tourny was actually $5690, but me and the second place worked a deal so we wouldn't get taxed the 30% which would have been over $1700

Well negotiated then.. Wonder how they arrive at the $5210. figure, or is that just 5K plus the buyin? Have a good trip back..
Thanks for the railing. Even thou i didn't cash, still turned out to be a profitable trip for me. Didn't feel like playing the Binions tourney with Steve, felt like playing some cash instead. Picked up $2500 on the 5-10 NL, and then this morning while killing an hour at the casino before heading to the airport decided to sit down and play 3 card poker to waste an hour. Managed to pick up another $500 there.
Now time to get refocused and move on to the main event.
The player in Seat 3 was down to his last 1,050 and got it in next hand against Jesse Chinni on a flop of . The unknown player tabled for top pair but Chinni showed for a Royal Flush!
"Floor! Is there a bonus for a Royal?" called Haxton. Unfortunately the only bonus for Chinni was the elimination of his opponent and the pleasure of raking in the chips!
nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo lots of big names in final 10 of event 19, had baker, negreanu, and bloch on my team but I took them out for this event ffffffffsssssssssssss.

One of the dozen or so male players left in the event was recently penalized for taking out a tampon to use as a card protector. The floor ruled that he was to sit out for two rounds of play. We're not sure which rule he was violating, besides that of a lack of class, but he's back in action now - this time with the tampon in his pocket.

Deeb Plans to Donate
As we mentioned earlier, Shaun Deeb is playing in today's event. Before you hit the forums and give him too hard a time about it, Deeb has explained that he's playing today because he lost a prop bet and that he plans on donating any money he wins to a charity benefiting a female cause.

Now That's Camaraderie
There is much more camaraderie present in this event than we are used to seeing. Over at Table 61, some of the players had to go to the bathroom. In the spirit of fair play, the entire table decided to take a bathroom break together.
"Well is was all fun and silly and the men were really unhappy. I had a guy at my table. He played bc a friend asked him to. At around level 8-9 a lady from 2 tables over sent a massage over to him.
He looked over to where she was, and went to thank him. As he approached her she slapped him hard. He came back to the table fighting tears. He wouldn't call the floor as he was already so embarrassed. So I did. All at my table saw and confirmed it. Floor just gave her a warning. It was pretty awful."
I love the "equality". A guy would be perma-banned for hitting someone, an old bitch gets a penalty.
Durrrrrr got 2nd He should be on suicide watch right now, he just missed out on a ton of money in side bets.
but Ship me the million points bitches!:D
I was sitting beside a good friend of Durr's in event #5 and he was taking bets for Durr. If i recall correctly Tom Dwan was giving 3.5:1 odds that he would win a bracelet this year. At that point he had already taken more than 2 million in bets against. Several people approached the young guy (Durr's friend) for details but I only saw a few place bets with him once they found out that the bet included the WSOP Europe events. I would have found out more but I busted out in level 4 when my QQ reraise AI preflop was called by 1010 and old dude spiked a ten on the flop :P
Was definitely cool being a party to some of the sick Durr prop betting though.
He still has a better chance to win a bracelet than 99% of the rest of the field
Seriously? IMHO I wouldn't agree with that statement. I think he has an above average chance of winning nothing more. From what I have seen of him he seems to excel more in cash games and is not focused enough to win a bracelet in Vegas. He is jumping from table to table and tourney to tourney. Just not a receipe for success. I wouldn't even give those odds to the best of the best in tourneys. Now WSOPE may be a bit different but I haven't paid attention to it to know field size and # of events to really say that bet would be Easy money.
Yes, Phil Ivey is playing three tournament right now. He's still in this event with about 20,000 chips, but hasn't even bothered to come over and touch his stack or play a hand. He's in the $5,000 six-handed tournament on one of the feature tables still and doing well. He also won his first match in the $10,000 Heads-Up Championship versus Michael Mizrachi. Read about that here. He won the match in two hands.
Ivey out of the heads up already, His opponent agreed to play their match early cause Phil is deep in the other tourny, pretty sure Ivey lost on purpose.

Phil Ivey did not play a single hand today and has been eliminated from Event #18.
His stack was alone the entire day and just blinded out in Level 6.
GG Phil.
I was busy at the craps tables;)
Geesh Philli, why didn't you just ask me to go play the event for you? What a waste..

I will take that bet at 3.5/1 that he doesn't win a bracelet... $100US?
