  • It's an Elementary Play, Watson

    [BPot-Limit Omaha:[/B

In middle position, Michael Binger opened a can of worms with a standard raise. Nick Schulman made the smooth call in the cutoff, and Doyle Brunson came along from the small blind. In the big, though, Mike Watson squeezed the table up to 6,000. Binger and Schulman quickly called, but it wasn't getting through Dolly that easy. Brunson came right back with a four-bet to 30,000, and only Watson called that reraise, heading off to the flop heads-up.

The dealer spread out , and a continuation bet of 70,000 was easily enough for Doyle to take down the pot right there. He's worked his stack to about 190,000.

They Do Serve Decaf, If You Ask For It

We've made it clear several times how big the Pavilion room is. Kind of hard for one person to get the attention of the hundreds and hundreds sitting in here at the moment. Without a microphone, anyhow.
However, one excitable player recently managed to do just that. He'd been warned just a short while ago about using profanity, actually. But that couldn't stop him from jumping up and roaming his section just now after winning a sizable pot, loudly shouting "OOOOH... SHIP IT MOTHERF*&$^%!"
Mr. Expressive has been invited to take an orbit off to think about how best to manage his celebrations should future hands end in positive outcomes.
  • Ivey out of the 50k:(
  • hellmuth out of event 3 already,lol
  • Are there no live feeds this year?
  • WTF I just read that ESPN is only televising 3 events this year. The ME obv, $50k Player's and one other.
  • moose wrote: »

ESPN was asking too much, so bluff decided not to provide live feeds this year. ESPN's media contract ends after 2010 so might be back next year. While ESPN sometimes does a crappy job, i'm not so certain that another company can stepup and do it better.
  • What the hell? Why was this guy not penalized?

    Durrrr Takes a Hit

On a board of 9s.gif4d.gif10s.gifQh.gif, Tom Dwan bet 950 and was check-called by his opponent. When the 4s.gif fell on the river, the unknown player checked and Durrrr bet 1,150.
The call was made and Dwan turned over Qd.gif9d.gif for two pairs. It was no good though as his opponent had made a straight with the Kc.gifJh.gif. Dwan is down to 1,625.
