I noticed you are also playing 3/6 o8. With omaha, you will need an even large bankroll to deal with the variance. I would say 40-50 buyins for the casual player.

Your problem to me is you're an action junky. You like playing above your roll as you seem to believe you have an edge. Whether or not you do have an edge, the reality is putting down so much of your roll on any one table is receipt for disaster.

Now, not saying I haven't done it also. While I don't believe I have an edge, I feel I am a solid player. I also don't play poker for a living, it is a fun thing for me.

epic_donk is full of shit. He only plays micros.
  • Not necessarily true Hobbes. I have witnessed him playing at these levels in HE previously. I certainly wasn't on the table with him as that would far exceed my bankroll. He certainly wasn't winning, but he was in fact handling cards.
  • I take nothing he says to be true.
He'll says look I fianal tabled this tourney on PS. You check OPR and guess what?

You are 100% correct, and he's created evidence to this effect numerous times. I loved it when he said "How do you guys come up with this shit so fast?" when people jammed it back his way with the actual results.

Anyhoo, just saying that I did witness him giving money away at some higher levels than micros. Don't forget, the micros are just his morning calisthenics.

Guys I requested info on BR mgmt.

Ive played lots of 5/10, 10/20, and 15/30 limit.... even played a little 30/60.

Im back to playing .25/.50 cash tables, however, newest strategy is MTT's to get my BR up to a level that I feel comfortable enough to play cash games.

    Thanx for the input fellas.

And it now appears that you're listening to it and applying it. Good.

  • bankroll for requirements for limit O8 are less than LHE. This game probably has the least variance of all the flop games. A good LO8 player (which I would assume Fed is not) can probably get by on 200-250bb ($1200-$1500) at full ring.
  • haha. looking at the pokertableratings is hilarious. I've never been to this website before. Very interesting. The graph for me looks better than how I feel I'm doing. boooooooooo

Yeah, it's not 100%, but it's not off by thousands of dollars like you claim it to be.

my deposit history/earnings/losses/currrent BR is off by thousands.

so youre wrong, the site is off. alot.

Correct; it is off, but not by a significant amount, especially all recent play within the last few months... They had several issues during the initial conversion and lost a ton of historical data sometime last year...

Howerver, if you are final tabling MTTs on Stars or Tilt, then OPR will have this data and it is very accurate.

    I'll try to help you.

PTR says you've played the following:
    76 hands at 5/10
    2 hands at 10/20
    17 hands at 15/30

Please don't take offense, but you know very little about poker.

People on this site are willing to help players who want to get better. If you really want to get serious, do the following:
    1) stop lying
    2) quit being an idiot
    3) learn and play with BR management
    4) ask for help by posting hands

    +1

The only reason why PTR may be off for epic_donk is because he lost track of the accounts he's had.

I can handle idiots, God knows there are many here. Lying I cannot stand.

Oh and get ready for the "I know more about poker than you'll ever know".

Nope, only reason I posted here in the first place was to get more knowledge about the game.

I didnt lie about my games and the stakes I play as PTR just confirmed.

Thanx for the advice guys, and i'll try to better educate myself to be more profitable.. thats the point after all isnt it?

    Cheers.

So it's all a conspiracy against you right? The internet is obviously out to get you. Up until about a week ago or so when I checked my PTR stats it was off by under 1k hands(Out of almost 16K hands that it's tracked) and maybe $10-15. If you're playing on a major site like Stars or Full Tilt it catches around 95% of hands. And FYI it doesn't track deposits. It tracks your winnings/losses.

  • He actually doesn't play under the fedh8her acct anymore on Stars AFAIK. He's using some "high stakes" name that he doesn't want anyone on here knowing.

    Comp, THANKS.

Ill dig em up and PM them to you.

lol @ milo having me on block and repeatedly calling me by my initials thinking its going to tilt me... doestn tilt me but I DO thinks its fucked. Almost to the point of tilt.

Makes it worse that he has me on block.

    :bs:

Do you still want me to have a look at some of those higher stakes hands for you? Hopefully I can spot something you may have missed, you know 2 heads better than one and all that... Be glad to help..

  • I have a hard time believing he has another account for high stakes when just 3 weeks ago, he was playing $4 tourneys. If he is so good, why bother?
Whatever, he says he's fixing his game. He can fix it himself.
  • Let's not forget stealing $10...

    Mark....
  • $10.00?!? Wow the recession is hitting all areas of the economy, isn't it?
  • You're giving too much credit to the crack whores of Toronto. I'm sure if you look hard enough you can find some play for under $5.
