  • The well-known "Mymoon" will be there as well.
  • I am burning EXTRA ..... in the $2500 event and I will be the biggest donkey in the game.

We do have a saying at our Monday night game.... ANYONE CAN WIN.
  • great idea Wetts - add yourself to the list to.
  • As an fyi - The 1K is sold out (or at least they stopped selling over the phone). They still have some at the cage.

I need a 2nd seat (coworker) if anyone is either at Fallsview and can pick up or willing to sell. Can transfer online or pay cash.
  • Im gonna be there this weekend but you don't know me haha
  • I plan to be at Fallsview Casino on January 8, but depending on the cash games and if it's NOT a CPT event, I may just keep playing the cash game instead of "lighting $1,000 on fire." :p There are CPT events at Great Blue Heron Casino on January 13 for $550, and at Point Edward Casino on January 7 and 14.
  • Wetts, to what name? I'm heading down to the US tomorrow through Rainbow and can probably make a detour to do it for you. PM me.

    $1000.00 event sold out.

    confirmed!!
  • Anyone know how many spots payout and the percentages?
  • My friend tried to get a seat tonight. Sometimes procrastination gets the better of people; he didn't get a seat. The 'good' news is we had a verbal agreement to split our cashes 50/50. (I told him I was good with it since I knew I was owning him heads-up :P) So I guess my payout is all mine.

Good luck to everyone playing, in this event and the other events.

    Let's rock this *****!

not sure myself but I think I read that 1st is 80k. I held a satty for this event, lost, but am still in for 3% so hopefully the prize pool is well done (<--whatever the fak that means, I just want money)

Bill are you selling or playing?

Sorry about that. I am playing.

Does anyone know the hours for the 3 days?
I believe days 1 and 2 start at noon but what time do they finish and what is the schedule for day 3? I think I heard day 3 was just for the final table and started late afternoon? Their website tells you shit all.

The casino hotel is booked up but I am going to stay the Saturday night at the Hilton ($99 tourney rate) and celebrate making the final table.

I just called the poker room and the 2 guys on the other end couldn't help me. Guy1 tells me that the tourney is from 9am to 12pm. I explained to him that he was looking at the registration times. After a couple minutes of getting no where, I thanked him and said good bye.
Hopefully someone here has some details.

I am guessing that days one and two will finish once down to X number of players but I am sure there is a start time for day 3 and is that just the final table?

I need to figure out how much party time and sleep time I will have before the final day begins. :)

Niagara Fallsview Casino Resort - Gaming says:

    "Buy In - $1,000
    January 8
    Day 1 start 12 pm
    January 9
    Day 2 start 12 pm
    January 10
    Day 3 start 4 pm**

**start time may be delayed slightly depending upon available space."

which is, unfortunately, all the info. I could find myself...
  • Thanks for helping me see what was apparently in front of my eyes. Funny the guys in the poker room do not know this info.
No matter. The good news is that I can party my nuts off Saturday night and have lots of rest time. Will need a late check out time though..
  • I called again today in case someone in the poker room had a clue on how/when they would conclude each day, but to no avail.

I guess I will pack my bags and if I need to get a room Friday night I will. If there is enough time to drive home I guess I will..
  • My recommendation is book a room at Fallsview Plaza, not a great hotel but it is directly across from the casino and you can walk across the road via a skywalk without going outside.

    http://fallsviewplaza.com/hoteldeals.html

Seems like you can get a room for friday night for $69.00 plus tax and that INCLUDES a $45 voucher to use at the Keg, you can use it also at the East Side marios in the same hotel. <CORRECTION: seems you can no longer book this deal on friday night online, but might be worth trying to call them and try but likely won't work but they do have the same deal @ 99.00>

I'm booked for Thursday night and will be there friday also.

If others book, i recommend a dinner at the keg :)

"Package Not Available For The Following Night(s)
    Fri Jan 08 2010"
  • I booked at the same hotel a few weeks ago, so I'm down for dinner.

the 99 deal is there but there a dfifferen package on the '1 night with meal deal'

the link for that deal is

    Fallsview Plaza Hotel
  • I guess dinner on Friday night is the plan, everyone interested post i guess.

I'm assuming we figure out logistics some how at the tournament itself.

I don't have a tourney ticket yet but i'll be around all day friday playing in the cash games if i can't get into the tourney. I'm an indian guy likely wearing a grey adidas hat if that's any help.
  • everyone knows you Chugs :)
