  • Looks like it's just you and me again. I'll bring my ICM Calculator so we can chop the $18,500 prize pool. ;)

  • I'll chop with you too - I got my seat yesterday!
  • Anyone here do well yesterday? How many players did they have for this tournament?
  • It sold out at the maximum 50 players as usual. Hopefully, this means that Brantford will bring back the $800 buy-in tournaments.

When it was down to two tables, I had over 13,000 chips which dwindled after my 10-10 lost to A-10. As usual, SteveKerr was still in when I left.

Martin..do not try to represent a hand to bad players

Do different/better players come to the $400's or is it favourable because the patience factor is higher?

Are the $200 freezeouts any different form the $100's? (Player skill level)
  • Most of my cashes have been in the $400 and $200 tournaments. It was only my last couple of cashes that I finally made the money in the $100 tournaments.

The $100 and $200 players are pretty much the same, it's whoever didn't procrastinate too long before the seats sold out. There are some higher-bankrolled players who only come out for the $400+ tournaments. One can have a higher ROI with the higher Patience Factor as you have more time to use your skills before it becomes an all-in luck-fest.

I keep hearing this from players, but I will always prefer NINE :fish: in my table instead of having one of the fish replaced by a shark who makes much less mistakes. My nightmare scenario is whenever I get seated in an online table and it is full of Sharkscope sharks shark3.gif who have a rated "Ability" of 80+! :'(

I'm happy with my results in the $100's, my biggest enemy has been the quick structure. Have thought about playing in a $400 because the starting stacks are doubled, but not sure if it's the right move because, although growing, my bankroll is not huge. Plus - its possible I'd be walking into a shark tank I'm not ready for yet.

Going to the BWC $150 Wed event. Is it a fair assumption to think if I'm not out of my league there I'd be OK at a Brantford $400 buy-in?

if you not a chronic pre flop limper, or willing to fold marginal holdings pre flop...and willing to raise preflop to define your hand..then you should be okay at a Brantford 400...but please...fold rag aces in early position..lol...

Really?...perhaps I'm over thinking this...can't be much of a shark tank if your advice is that simple...still I'm glad I'll have the chance to test the waters at the BWC first...hopefully by the next $400 my bankroll will be bigger and I will not be torn between risking a larger % of my bankroll than I am comfortable with on 1 tourney, and the higher patience factor

    Thanks for the input....much appreciated!!
