To AK*1 and Voodoo, please PM me your email address so I can send one email. With all my poker contacts, we may actually get more than ten satellite players.
The WPT rake-free satellite is on for this Saturday, August 2 at 6 PM. I have sent the details to the 15 people who registered via email, including PokerJAH and AcidJoe.
First prize $1,300
Second prize $480
Third prize: ~$170.
The buy-in will obviously depend on the number of players that actually show up, but for 15 players, the buy-in will be $130 each ($1950 / 15). To Voodoo, AK*1, actyper or anybody else that can commit to showing up, you can PM me your email address ASAP. The satellite will be limited to the first 20 players who pre-register AND show up by 6 PM.

did you decide on a structure for the tournament? rebuys, add ons, etc.? just to confirm, there is no 'profit sharing' for the winner? i.e. you can use the funds as you wish? Will there be a cap on the buy-in?
BF.. August 2nd doesn't work for me as I have a function to attend. For those that can't make this weekends tournament I am will to put together another one. Just let me know if you are interested.
I am willing to be flexible with whatever the majority want, but otherwise the default pokerJAH-approved structure is: rake-free, freezeout, no rebuy, no add-on, TDA rules, finalists are allowed to chop, and pokerJAH gets to keep 100% of his $1,000,000.00 WPT NAPC win with zero profit-sharing. IF I win it, I MAY buy pokerJAH a drink or two.
I expect the buy-in to be between $100-$200, depending on the configuration of seat prizes and number of players. Based on positive feedback that more people want to go but won't know until closer to Saturday, we may need more than two tables, so rather than turning players away at 6 PM, there is an option to have the top two get the $1,300 package.

Details emailed to both. Now that Kristy_Sea is in, the forum participation rate just doubled today! I haven't heard otherwise from Acid_Joe, so I'm assuming he'll be there too by 6 PM. We will still be heavily outnumbered by non-forumer :fish: . Let's get ready to rumble rake-free! Sorry, no hookers or blow for pokerJAH.

Looks like I am out classed in this feel, I have to bow out Buddy, my skills aren't good enough with the late ringers being added.
Thanks for setting this up Blondefish. Who won? It was down to The_Game and Mike when I left.
I had an interesting evening that's for sure. Had some strange folds I had to make that certainly made me the tightest player at the table for the game. Each time however it proved to be the right fold as much as it hurt... just far tighter then I play. Never really got the situations to get my wheels turning.... hopefully I can be a little more awesome next time .
Thanks to Kristy for introducing me to a number of members at the game and after the game. I think in the span of 15 minutes Mark told me to shut the f*&k up at least a dozen times and Zithal is a bloddy Rockband prodigy. I will definately be looking forward to some Bristol street events.
With the participants divided evenly between forumers and non-members, three of the final four were forumers. I was eliminated as the bubble boy by 2-3 sooooted! Kristy_Sea won the third place cash prize, after being taken out by runner-runner flush. A non-forumer won the second place prize of a WPT Step 2 satellite seat package, with his final hand of A9 getting beat by A8. Congratulations to The_Game, who won the WPT Step Q satellite seat package worth almost $1,300.
Several new non-forumers have expressed interest in playing another rake-free satellite this Saturday, August 9 (or a Wednesday), so PM or email me ASAP if you can make it.
thanks for organizing this Blondefish; Nice to see 3 of the top four places won by forum members.
Some interesting highlights of the night:
- three players coming all the way to Woodbridge to play the satellite and then disappearing right before it started;
- a dealer dealing the flop before the player's their hole cards;
- someone asking me 'is today Saturday?'
- one player showing up an hour late and then playing two hands before he busted out;
With this crowd, you think I could have won a single hand?? Early aggression was definitely the way to go.
LOL...who remembers this shit? I was disappointed that they didn't get a cash game going...I'm sure the next one (non long weekend) will see more people.
i met some great people, yea it was interesting.
some of the highlights.
my 2-3 knocked the bubble boy(blondyyy fisheeee) buttttt 2-3 i raisedddddddddd not call.
no no this is the best one, the late comer getting knocked out after playing two hands. knock out with 7-5 os. i like that, once again raised not a call.
ooo yea i got reallllly lucky on this one, runner runner flush after kristy floping a top pair.
ok ok but remember the pot i won with 8 high after a raise and a call, with flop of k 10 j.
i can play a wed or sat game.
wednesday conferm, saturday i will conferm by friday. thanks.

your aggression from winning the first hand to the eventual satellite was well thought out; I think playing a couple of these satellites in prior years at Niagara for some players was definitely to their advantage. Even with 30 minute blinds, you really had to be aggressive from the moment the cards were dealt or you were done like dinner.
Kristy, what's with calling that 800 raise with only about $1,200 behind w a pocket pair? You cracked his aces but not sure I like the call. I think he still hasn't recovered from the number of the beast.

That never happened.
Edit: I'm not being cute, that sincerely never happened..I don't know who you are thinking of.
I flopped one set with 66 but had a much larger stack than that.

that's the hand I am referring to (666); it definitely was a good 25%+ of your stack and this hand allowed you to double through and get some well needed chips. I was just surprised you would call such a large raise with a small pocket pair, knowing this guy must have something really strong based on his preflop raise.

zero-profit sharing, with this kind of win I can guarantee a $25k CPF free tournament. Mark my words! Got to share your graces.
starting chips would be based on number of posts; whatever, lets worry about the logistics down the road.
Blondefish should be sending you an email; I saw him last night and everything is a go. Great facilities.
I will be there.
(provided The_Awesome gets directions in time)
I'm out. Been a long frustrating day not conducive to poker.
Let's get ready to rumble rake-free! Sorry, no hookers or blow for pokerJAH.
