Aha! So my educated guess that the Fallsview governing committee will probably fold the $10K event is not erroneous. I miss the Fallsview fish tank, so when can I redeem my vouchers so I have an excuse to tell my spouse why I NEED to go there?

Too easy.
If your spouse is not making the trip with you.
1) Tell your spouse you have to go and redeem your voucher.
2) Go and play some poker.
3) When you return, say as usual FV can't do anything right and you could not redeem your voucher.
4) Repeat steps 1-3 as necessary
Here is my 2¢ guess. WPT will not get a TV deal to film the Fallsview and other Season 7 events which already starts this week at Bellagio, and will be in danger of bankruptcy.

Well... I always play like crap, but don't usually get rewarded, just got lucky tonight...
Is there any way to watch SirWatts' WPT victory in Canada? There is a "Fox Sports World Canada" channel, but almost all of its programming is about soccer.
ReefAquarium and I were at Fallsview Casino fishing until it was time for breakfast, but there was no sign or buzz of satellites restarting yet. FSN has nowhere as desirable demographics as the Travel Channel for Fallsview, but hopefully any TV deal is enough to let the big show go on. Now where did I put that satellite voucher....

A lot of FSN shows get on The Score, but who knows what they will do with the Canadian rights?

Pretty sure when its time we will be able to download it on thepokerbay.
I have been to Fallsview three times since the satellites have restarted, each time phoning first to verify that there are enough players to run a satellite. The bad news is that all three times, there was not a single satellite run while I was there. On Saturday, I wanted to play the $1,240 satellite but there was nobody else on the list. The good news is that another forumer and I had huge cash game wins, so we celebrated by having dinner at Canyon Creek. My winning streak is now at 19 straight sessions!
With the players I know that expressed frustration at waiting as late as midnight and as early as noon in vainly waiting for a satellite to run, the good news is that we now have enough players to finally run the first rake-free satellite this year!
So I went to Fallsview yesterday at 9am hoping to play at least one $460 Satellite to find out they do not start letting you register for them until noon. No big deal deal I was planning on being there for most of the day.
Finally got a seat at a 2 - 5 table just after 10am and when noon rolled I around I registered for the satellite. Around 1pm there was 6 or 7 players on the list for the Satellite and I was thinking great I will get to play at least one $460.
It is now 4pm and there is still 7 players on the list but a $170 Satellite is being called, which I have no intention of playing that bingofest.
It is now 4:30pm and since I have to make my way home for another poker tournament I take my name off the list and leave my 2-5 table up $1500. So the day wasn't a total loss.
Anyways does anyone know if these $460 or $1240 run more consistenly on Fridays and Saturdays?

Congrats on the win. I share many other players' frustration in vainly waiting for a Fallsview satellite to run, but I remind myself that having many consecutive winning cash games sessions is even better than winning a $1,240 voucher at Fallsview. I found out that the first $1,240 Step Q satellite was finally run last Saturday, and I later met the first $10K seat winner. If anybody wants to sell any voucher, please PM me.
I went on early Sunday afternoon, and there was only one $170 turbo satellite run during my very long session. I recognized a bunch of players from Brantford and CNE Casino who made a special trip just to play the $460 satellite. There were 14 of us on the list, but there was not a single $460 satellite run. A supervisor told me that there was some sort of screw-up where there was no supervisor available for the satellite table so it was just shut down. Another forumer and I had a winning cash game session again, but I understand the disappointment and anger of all those players that had waited for hours by the satellite table.
I was steaming over something last night and kidded with friends that I would go postal and wreak havoc at Fallsview Casino. I carpooled with a friend, then saw more friends there that want to play in future rake-free satellites.
To make an interesting story short, I ended up winning the $1,240 Step Q satellite and main event seat! I believe I am only the third person to have won a seat. Based on advice from my bankroll coach (ReefAquarium!), I would be willing to consider selling the voucher for close to the $10,300 face value instead of automatically playing it. I know that some poker clubs want to buy a voucher ASAP to show as the first prize for their huge buy-in raked satellites. Fallsview told me that they have a 3% surcharge for using a credit card, so it will cost over $10,600, plus gas, cash advance, interest and other bank fees.

The satellite king has returned! Nice win Buddy! Take the money and run. Now you have a free all expenses paid trip to Manila for the APT (as an option).
Yes to both questions. I was told by the players of the 1st $1,240 satellite that they waited for hours before they finally got to play at night. I signed up around 8 PM and cards did not fly until 11:10 PM. You will be frustrated at the long wait (30 minutes in my case) it takes from the time your name is called for the satellite table to the time it actually starts. As Americans and others who have played in other casino satellites know, Fallsview loses a lot of time and money from its players and staff in having very inefficient satellite procedures.
One better system would be to do a roll call as soon as there are more than ten players on the interest list, then get a dealer to sit down at the satellite table, then tell the ten confirmed players to make sure that they have a satellite voucher or to buy a voucher at the cage. The ten players wil have to pick a seat card, then leave their voucher, players card and ID on their seat. The cards will then fly soon after the start of the next session, so the ten players can finish their cash game after having paid the session fee for the half hour or go for a smoke/washroom break and cash in their chips. The satellite will promptly start on the :05 or :35 on the hour, and any prepaid player who does not sit down by then may miss the first hand or two.
The total duration of the Step Q satellite was 4 hours and 20 minutes, which is exactly how long my rake-free satellite lasted last Saturday. By using the identical structure at the rake-free satellite as Fallsview, it helped me a lot to win the $10,300 seat. Another forumer wll probably have to take over the very time-consuming and frustrating task of organizing future WPT rake-free satellites, but I highly recommend that future organizers use the exact same structure as the event that they are playing for, e.g., 3000 starting chips, 30 minute blinds and WPT Fallsview blind schedule. For example, I will participate in an upcoming EPT Atlantis home league, so we will use whatever the EPT tournament structure is.

Supposed to be a TV deal announced today
FSN
So if this proves true, and it sounds likely, how educated do you feel?
Steve Lipscomb has just welcomed the audience to the WPT Bellagio Cup IV, and he made a major announcement --
The World Poker Tour will be broadcasting in the United States on the FoxSports network.
So everyone who has asked about where this final table will be televised, you now have your answer -- FoxSportsNet.

thank god this mess is over with, they have their deal, now let's play already!
