Thanks, I think. Not sure what you mean when "I have seen you play". :D
  • I was sitting to your right at one event. I got there super early. I think I was so tired of waiting (after it started) and just flat out tired that I threw my chips away.

    You were playing wisely.
  • Been waiting to add to this thread again for a while.

    Congratulations!
    Thank you for participating.
  • NASTY! Great win Watts...did you chop or take it outright? CONGRATS!
  • No chop I took 1st after a long HU battle where the best hand rarely won all-in.
  • congrats sir watts, I watched for a bit during my SNG, well played.
  • thanks for stopping by wolf I guess posting on this forum worked after all! Now I have to decide whether I should make a run at the weekly TLB. It could be a 4K match agaiinst McEvoy if he wins the week, that'd be kind of sweet. School isn't really optional as a grad student though so we'll see if I can put enough time towards this to have any chance.
  • Well done!

    Nice score.
  • Well done indeed. This would be a tough week to run at the TLB with the WCOOP, but best of luck.

I got down to the final 2 tables yesterday of the stars $11 rebuy tourny before having my short stack busted by gavin griffen (wsop2005) - i was soing really well until my internet went down for 20 minutes, and then 15minutes in the last 2 hours.... thankfully both occured during breaks, but i still lost 25mins of playing time at a high level of blinds

    16th was good for $434.81

it was a good night, as i also won entry to the $500+30 sunday tourney through a $57 sattelite - i just cashed it for the tourny dollars so i can play a bunch of smaller ($50+5) events
  • in refernece to my above post....   i was sifting through the hand histories... hrmmm.... think this wouldve changed anything for me?   DAMMMIT

  • Barf!!! I spent at least the last minute trying to figure out why you would fold there...lol.

    Now that's a Bad Beat!!!!
  • I got disconnected for 30 seconds when I was heads up after seeing the flop when i had him all-in with J9 vs 77 preflop. I figured if i spiked a J or 9 on the turn or river it wouldn't matter if i was disconnected. Fortunately I quickly got reconnected but unfortunately the tournament was still going.

There was only one WCOOP event this week and it actually gave out less TLB points than the normal $215 on Sunday despite the $2500 buy-in since the # of players contributes more to the equation than the buy-in (they take the log of the buy-in in the equation). A lot of the players that went deep in that might not bother playing normal "small $" tourneys on stars I hope.
  • I was under the impression the buy-in was weighed heavier - you certainly do have a shot

it will take a fair amount of effort regardless - you may want to team up with someone with your busy schedule
  • yeah I don't expect to be able to do it since there are lots of good players willing to put in more hours than me but a couple more final tables would give me a shot if no one has too big a week. Teaming up is a decnt idea but the Pinhead is still in Europe and he's prboably the only person I would trust/has the skill level with my account. I'm not too busy yet so it's definitely doable if I can run good a little longer.
  • Hmmm...I lost track of this thread. And now I'm also
    suffering from ding envy. lol
  • OK, I'm no MTT pro like the rest of you guys, so don't scoff. It's only a Sat, but the best MTT finish I've had in ages...
