We decided not to continue with the Degree Poker Championships for a number of reasons, but the World Poker Tour did not interfere contract wise. The Degree Poker Championships are excellent, I strongly support their initiatives and encourage you to do the same, however we have decided to focus solely on the World Poker Tour events.
Are you sure?
This year’s tournament will take place from May 3rd -12th, 2006 at the Niagara Fallsview Casino Resort in Niagara Falls, Canada!
Because of the success of last year’s tourney and the overwhelming support of Canada’s poker community, we’ve expanded our registration field this year to accommodate 1000 more poker stars-in-the-making.
The time to register is NOW! Draws will take place on the following dates: March 22, March 29, April 5, April 12, and April 19th. The earlier you register, the better your chances of winning a seat!

Why post this on 2+2.com if you were referring to a specific casino? :
Be a man and own up when you are wrong.
Here's your post on 2+2:
I know this might be dumb, but I need some help.
I am 100% sure that dealers are not allowed to play any games in their place of work when they are off, but I've been challenged by someone who said it is not true, and it is only casino specific. I am wondering if that is a law that is legislated by the government, or it is merely an unwritten law that casinos abide by. If anyone has any links to legislation, that would be great, since I haven't been successful in my search.
Thanks.
Now then, I wasn't "challenging" you, just pointing out that you weren't correct. Big difference. Anyways, Not looking to get into a dickswinging contest, it just struck me as poor that you would post a question on another forum, then claim you knew all along on this one.

Anyways, I'll see you at the tables sometime.
I posted because I wanted to know what is the case in the States. I know for sure in Ontario dealers are not allowed to play in their own casinos, but I wasn't sure if it was universal, hence the thread in there.

Nah man, I know he's a dealer and recognized his face. I'm a regular at Fallsview "cheers:
Not an MTT on Saturday...only $1,000 SNGs
You are mistaken. Maybe he was a "former" dealer. We do have some players that were previously employed at CN and/or NFCR.

100% NOT true.
Depends on the Casino.
(My apologies if this is about a "specific" casino in which case you would be right)
Was referring to the specific casino...
No you weren't

Take it for what its worth....

Last I checked, each province's Casino is governed by their own gaming commission, hence the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of ONTARIO

It was a partial pwnage
I dunno about you, but my right eye is starting to hurt from all this

Shouldn't your CPF wallet be feeling a bit sore too after all the new contents you received in there for this tread?

No problem
Nobody got pwned. Let's let it drop.
It's not that big a deal anyways.
