  • If there is no way for you to get to Fallsview, I will try to get a Fallsview friend to buy the super satellite card for you. Headed to Fallsview soon....

Anyone heading to Fallsview in the next few days? Was interested in buying a $275 satellite seat. Can EMT the funds. Thanks.
  • Note that all 650 entry cards are sold out for WPT Event #1, including the fifty cards marked "ALTERNATE".

In a preview of the craziness that will happen during February 18-24, a 10/25 game was still running after 3 AM when I left. The buy-in is $1,000-$5,000.
  • Does anyone on here know if the 20th is a regular start day, or just the final table. The web page isn't clear on that. Lists final table starting at 1pm.

    2500 is starting that day

According to the "official" schedule on the Fallsview site, the 20th is the final day for the 1K and day 1 of the 2500, both starting at 12.

  • I guess I'm showing of my "noob". I thought there are 3 start days. Guess I will have to be really nice to my boss to swing three days off. But now that I have entry I will do whatever it takes to make the most of this opportunity. See you on the felt folks.
  • For anyone heading to fallsview on a weekday, dont expect any direct entry satellites to run.

I was there yesterday and played 2x $125 and 1x $235 for some feeder sats between 4pm and 10pm.

Managed to scoop a $235 feeder for $1k into the main, now have to figure out when the hell these things actually run.
  • Anyone know if there were anyone that got stuck with feeder satellite tickets in years passed and how those were handled?

Yea, Im worried about this. Like its a crapshoot when the 1k sng will actually run and I dont plan on living at Fallsview to find out.

You just take it to the cage and get a refund. Not a big deal. It happens.

Really? I can "cash out" a feeder satellite ticket at the cage?

Cool big name pros should be hitting up this 5k for sure, i dunno maybe its me but they make it sound it like the chance is above 0% that it actually sells out lol.

Id be amazed if the $2500 even fills, i predict it will be quite close tho like 90% cap or smth.

Yes, once they have stopped running them.

IMO none of these players are really big names. If they haven't signed the "I Shaved My Balls For This!" t-shirt, they are irrelevant in the poker world.
  • That. And no Johnny Fuckin Chan!

My buddy has the same problem...he is going on the Monday (family day) to see if these things are running.
  • That's only a small list. Xuan Liu, Mike McDonald & other Waterloo pros, Gavin Smith, & many of the pros who played in the $3,850 WPT Montreal ME will also play in the #1 Canadian poker event of the $5,000 WPT Fallsview ME. pokerJAH is ready with his autograph book, camera, Sharpie & "I Shaved My Balls For This!" t-shirt to be signed.

What should be even more exciting for players in this poker forum is the other 600+ no-names that will be there too! >:D

  • Yeah, those guys that you never heard of are all chumps. I am sure you have much more than 1.5 million in live cashes. Those guys are all bottom feeders

    Kaverman 1.9 million live
    Kohlberg 2.4 million live
Babakhani 600k just started in 2013
    Paredes. 1.3 million live
And then mike watson with more live cashes than these four combined.

Will be a great learning experience again this year and for most of us on this site the guy sitting next to you at the 5k has way more cashes than you do.

Still never heard of any of these players, with the exception of Watson. Wouldn't consider these to be big name pros. Definitely not t-shirt worthy.

Now these guys is t-shirt worthy :) Can you find Liv's signature?

Oh pshaww.. Which of these guys have really made a living at 18 mans?

Serious point though.... Nice cashes from them all but how much have they spent in buyins? ie whats the profit margin? Remember having a revenue stream is only one side of the equation, profit is the name of the game...

HOLLA! I would rather meet you two and get your autographs besides the 2 Mike's of course.:D

Sorry I am against false advertising there Toronto pimp.:rolleyes2:

It's not all about who's won the most money, never said any of these guys are bad, just not big names, if Pokerjah and I who both are heavily involved in poker don't know who they are how are the satty donks and everyone else going to know.

I was going to say if they played online put there nicknames as well, but then I thought that might not be a good idea after all.

Look at team online full tilt or whatever they are called, they have to use their real names if they get red status by the looks of it and same thing, who are these people?
  • Heavily involved in poker ITT
  • ...... See some of you Sat at fallsview.

You just take it to the cage and get a refund. Not a big deal. It happens.

I was at Fallsview last night and specifically asked this question to the poker room manager - "Mike"...and he said that you cannot cash the feeder satellite tickets/vouchers out. They can be sold to someone else but, NOT cashed at the cage.
  • Once the satty's are all done you can in fact cash your ticket in at the cage. Did it last year and was not drunk or high.
