*Need some computer tech help PLEASE!!
Hey everyone,
So I am not very tech savy at all, so I really need some help and I am hoping this is an easy fix!
I have 2 monitors for my work computer system. This morning I turned on the computer and its all messed up. The left screen has now become the right screen, and the right screen has become the left screen. To go from left screen to right with the mouse I gotta scroll off the left screen and it comes from the right of the left screen. So I could simply move my monitors around for an easy fix, but now the left screen the resolution is off and its like when a computer is in safe mode! The other screen is perfectly fine. I have no idea what is going on.
Help?

Right click on the desk top
Personalize
Left side panel - display
Change display settings
Here you can configure monitor settings. Drag the one monitor to
The other side or configure how you like.
right click desktop, click screen resolution:
now click on the monitor giving you trouble and under "resolution" find the one that says "reccommended" - which will most likely be 1920x1080.
Now for the placement, look at the little pics of monitors labelled 1 and 2 - this tells windows where your monitors are physically. Drag them to where they should be and click apply.
win 10?
Same thing, but to get there right click and hit "display settings" and then "advanced display settings"
I did exactly that, and I switched them around, hit apply and took affect for iunno 10 seconds and then reverted back even after I click leave it as is. Plus even when I swapped it over, the screen resolution was still like in safe mode. Its annoying, im back to using one screen which greatly slows me down during my estimating etc.
Thoughts now?
Right click your start button, hit device manager, click the little arrow next to "Display Adapters" and let me know what it says underneath - with that I can point you to the right driver update.
If you can't get it going I can take a look at it tomorrow while I'm there if you want.
As for tomorrow, if we don't get to at least 9 players it will be a no go. Sitting at 7 confirmed and the (t) list is dropping. So it may not happen! Feel free to tell your buddies if they are interested.
Want me to connect in remotely and have a look?

I took a week-long power quality course several years ago and during the lab portion, we deliberately lowered the voltage to a bunch of desktops running different applications. There was a wide variety of things that went wrong (colour changes on the monitors, error codes, overheating) and it varied by manufacturer. The most robust systems were actually the older ones – two “antiques” (IBM ATs) that were unaffected until around 75 Volts (normal is 120V).
Or your problem could be aliens. Hard to tell. But definitely not ghosts.
Hoping not ghosts, but cannot rule out yet!
