did you book the hotel direct or did you find an online deal? Let me know, thats the hotel I am staying at.
  • I booked direct. It was cheaper & easier than booking a package.

now on a serious note. nice going

A penthouse at Bellagio and you've got a deal!!

Sorry only have a suite at the Mandalay Bay......
  • Well I'm in next sundays 650$ sat....time to get lucky!
  • Just to let you know. Harrah's is offering discounted rates on all their hotels (Flamingo, Rio, Paris, Bally's, Caesars, Harrah's) for people participating in the WSOP. The rates are available on their website just click on the link in the WSOP schedule section.
  • I am booked for June 25 to the 30th.

Playing in event 2, and since I plan on wining this 3 day event, I can't pre-register for event 3 and 4.

    Good luck to all going.
  • I have decided to shoot Canadian Idol again this year, and this year it conflicts with the WSOP. So, I will not be going. Turning Stone next week will have to be my WSOP, with maybe the WPT event at Fallsview thrown in there as well.

Best of luck to all of you... seems like a very strong CPF contingent this year. I look forward to many trip reports, and to following your final-table progress via epic threads here at this site.

Guess that means you'll have to wins Fallsview then you can play as much as you want! haha
  • it looks like now due to work schedules and such I can't go.....I was so looking forward to playing there in anything. There's always next year. At least I only invested 200 for a deposit on my room..
  • I just found out that I will be there for the main event.

Whether I am playing or working is TBD, but it'll be fun. Who's around for the main event?
  • Well I'm headed to the WSOP on July 20th, still haven't got a main event seat yet so that worries me, but I'm playing the 2000 on July 21 and the 1500 on July 25 at least, wish me luck!
  • Arrived in Vegas yesterday for ladies event #15. I drew table #21, seat #7 ........ the 2 luckiest numbers in vegas. Hope that's an omen.

Celebrity spottings so far: Marcel Luske, Sean Sheikhan and David Williams. No Ben Affleck yet, although I've seen a gazillion stretch hummers so he could have been in one of those, I guess.
  • I'm booked for July 23 to 29th. Going to play the $1500 NLHE. So I got 2 days to reg before its sold out. Sadly can;t wire in time, so I'll try 2 single table sats and hopefully make it or just buyin.

Any may extend the trip vying if I qualify for the Main Event. Will take a shot at the Super Sats and Online Sats this weekend.

Not as well as I'd hoped .......... 500-ish out of 1126. No great cards, tough blind schedule........ whattaya gonna do. But it was an amazing experience and I'll definitely do it again next year. Played in a small tourney at the Flamingo ........ made it to final 4 and table agreed to chop. I would have rather played it out, being 2nd chip leader, but didn't want to rain on their parade. The small tourneys were great .... pretty easy field. I played 3 of them and always made final table, moneyed once.

Vegas is poker heaven ........ I didn't want to leave.
  • Congrats WR and gl next year.
  • Awesome whiterabbit!!

I finished about 164th out of 1232. Top 101 got paid. Close. Also for me me, it was an amazing experience. Went and played at Binion's after busting out. Hung out with the ole timers on a 1-2 NL game. Priceless!!!
  • Thanks guys. I really thought I'd finish better than I did. The days leading up to the game were filled with good omens. When I picked up my registration card I drew table 21, seat 7 ........ the 2 luckiest numbers in Vegas, how could I lose. Also got seat #7 in 2 cash games. The night before the game we had dinner at Binions steak house ........ great meal and an awesome view of the city. I'd highly recommend it. On the way out we checked out the wall of champions and my name was on the board ..... sort of. Some guy with same last name as me won it in the 70's. Oh well, next year I say forget the superstitions and just give me some decent cards.
  • Just got into the ME last night. Anybody else playing?

Nice going ........... good luck. I wonder how big the field will be this year ............. 8000+ ??
  • It will be 8000 max. 4 starting days of 2k max each day.
  • There are actually 205 tables so there could be four days of 2050 each for a total of 8200 entrants. Just saying.

    OUT
  • I played in the event #2 the $1500 No-limit. I finished somewhere in the top 800ish out of 2800 when I got dispatched with pocket Queens against AJ (spiked an Ace on the flop).

Now the questions I have for the other people that participated in an event.
    1. My event had alternates that were entered after people were knocked out in the first two levels. Did any other events have this?
    2. We started this event 11-handed and moved down to 10-handed after the first break. Were any other events started 11-handed? Do you think the main event will be?

    Good luck everyone!

    Event #1 did NOT.

The shootout was NOT started 11-handed (LOL). Not sure about any other events. I do not think the Main Event will be unless there are waaaay more entrants than expected.

The $1000 did. I'm sure others did as well.
  • I started this thread so I am finally happy to say "IM IN". Won a seat last night on stars.
