  • Lots.
I have around 30 seats confirmed so far and I am expecting we will end up around 50 or so.
  • Hey Bill,

I wanted to give you a prize for the fundraiser. $100 Buy-in into any of our Cash Games. Just let us know who wins it and I'll have it waiting for them.  Actually, I'll be there Saturday so wont be a problem. See ya next week buddy.

Like I have said before, it is great to see competing poker clubs supporting each other. Although in this case it is the cause that is being supported and not an actual club but you know what I mean.
It really separates the "real" clubs from the wannabes. There are so many fly by night poker rooms opening up these days. People think they can just buy a table from Walmart and start taking a rake.. :)

..Anyway this tourney should be a lot of fun. There will be a lot of new faces since a lot of these players will have never stepped foot in a casino or poker club before... :fish:
  • Is anyone coming to the Mississauga/Toronto area from London for this game or sometime this week?
I have some prizes located in London that I need to get my hands on. If so and you wouldn't mind bringing them in I would appreciate it.

    Thanks,
    bill@ontariopokergames.com
  • Bill, are you considering posting a player's list before the tournament? Be interesting to see who all is going in advance.

Hmm. I considered doing that but I was not sure if everyone would be ok with me posting their names on a public site.. Maybe just the forum members? Perhaps I will just omit the few names that I am unclear of..
I think there are only about 10 people from the forum that have reserved seats as of yet. I will post more later tonight..
  • From the forum I have seats reserved for the following,
    1.esool
    2.Str82Ace
    3.ElEllioTT
    4.BigChrisE
    5.Josh + 2
    6.AK*1
    7.(Two)The Unit
    8.York Poker
    9. Sstar + 3
    10. Dead Money
    Anyone missing?
I have a little less then 40 players so far.. I expect we will get 50-60..

Since I could not get any of the big name celebrities from the forum to attend I am going to put a bounty on Jonathon "The Jedi Master". He finished 5 at the Degree poker championship last year and will be attending.
  • reserve one for me.

I am in negotiations for this tournament! The other side is threatening a wildcat strike!

For sure! People seem to think that running a poker club simply entails providing tables and chips. But We at The UNIT along with veterans like The Airport Club work hard to provide a great atmosphere for GTA poker Players.

Just wanted to let you know also that along with the $100 Buy in, Im also throwing in a free Seat to any one of our $60 Tournaments. I'll have vouchers for you on Saturday. Oh and by the way, Do you have enough dealers for the event? Let me know. Take care Bill, see ya soon.

Include the other prizes I have for you (I will make up vouchers) and post a complete list of prizes here. I want to see the whole shiny list of stuff up for grabs.

Thanks for the extra prize that will really help out. Two other poker affiliates were sending prizes but they have not arrived yet.

Regarding dealers since we did not get enough volunteers it will be self deal with 2 decks on the go.

C'ya Saturday, it should be a lot of fun.

I played at the a.c. last night and it looks like we will have around 50-60 players today.

I had a hard time getting to sleep last night in anticipation of this tourney. :)
  • Just wanted to let you know how much I enjoyed playing today Bill. It was a hell of a tournament, and I had alot of fun playing in it. Great to see so many other players I haven't seen in abit too.

You did a great job Bill, and all the folks at the Airport Club too. Especially the dealers, who volunteered their time to deal the tournament for nothing. Kudos to a great event held at a great place!!

    AJ
  • I just want to second that STR82ACE; it was a great game and run to perfection.
