  • I became the Confused One...LoL!
  • sweetjimmy, your tagline just made me imagine a hotel chain called All Inn
that's funny. anyone know if it's been done? i've got some unnamed hotels laying around....
  • So i'm a bit confused, i definitely have more than 500 posts, so what do i need to do to get registered for this?
  • probably just pm sloth

he's the god of everything here...and there now, i guess
  • and if i have more than 500 posts (775 apparently at last count) ... do i have to pay or not, that's the other question
  • well, i don't think so...or else there'd be no reason to mention the 500 post thing
of course it's not my deal...

My interpretation is free membership. And a free primo hat/t-shirt!

    Oh, so close...
  • YES.

If you have 500+ more posts here at CPF as of right now and until further notice, you get a free lifetime membership and hat or shirt.

Chugs, I know I gave your answer via pm but I was answering so many i didn't first check to see if you have 500+...i wasnt even necessarily checking user names of folks om'ing me generic questions :)

if you register there with a different username than what you use here, you will need to pm me and let me know
  • I signed up.  Good luck.
  • sent you an email iteration :)

well i think this is a great idea, and just realized i have way more than 500 posts, so count me in.   One quick question, i may very well be out of the country for the next few months, possibly year on business.   will i still be able to participate, since online tournaments would be my focus at that point ...

Absolutely. I think it will make more sense to everyone once the first events are listed tonight..as long as you're online anywhere, you can take part...and Canadian :)
  • fyi
We want to be seen and noticed in tournaments and around town! There is a ONE TIME membership fee of $40CAD which is good for life,

But later on that page says $45
  • yes, twas a mistake, it's $45.

$40 was the initial thought, and some print was done on that, but then the bill came in for the hats and shirts (of which ever member gets one) and it was bumped to 45.
  • Sloth you are the man... :D

Great Idea I will be joining up after next paycheck... since I am nowhere near the required 500 posts.

    Still it is worth it.

    Once again you da man.
  • Awesome idea!!
    $45 is cheap enough imo.
  • sounds like an awesome idea!

    roflmao :D
  • sounds interesting. I like the idea of sharing/splitting on everyones buy ins. this is smart for the good player as the dead money in these tourneys is unreal. First tourney so far in Five diamonds (in which i got % in Exclusive) apparently had the most suckers he has ever seen in such a big tourney.

It would be great to own % of more people in these.

but how would u go about the deals? the payouts etc..? from the business end im curios as to the procedures.
  • A good question, and I'd be happy to answer it now.

look over there, a bird! (runs away)

As of now, the CNPL is rather small/intimate enough that trust isn't a factor yet. Let's say 15 CNPL members are having a $45 satellite to a $650 buyin event. The 15 members forward their satellite entry fee to me (payment could potentially vary depending on location of event: neteller, certapay, paypal, or online cardroom transfer)

the ACTUAL satellite then is played with "play money" in a password protected table. The winner of the event has their entry fee paid for out of the escrow account that the funds have gone into.

The idea is, as CNPL starts to grow, that "ladders" will begin to be formed within the league..a team within the team..this could be done by province, city etc.

    Have I lost you yet?

Let's say you live in Edmonton, and there are 8 other Edmonton members. you could become the Ambassador of that city and form a team, let's call it the "Edmonton Eagles" and would hold your own satellites to events as well. As the CNPL grows, I will come to rely heavily on event managers and regional ambassadors. With the league in branches like this, you can see how trust still won't be much of a factor. Now obviously, for massive $10,000 buyin events, multiple teams will be involved in a single satellite but ideally, each team would have an ambassador that knows their teams fairly well.

Make sense? Did I answer your questions?
  • pretty much. If anything you answered the stage of where you are, and your vision. I think its a good idea.

Its the find of thing that will develop as it rolls along im sure with many refinements on the way.

I could be team canada in europe captain :)
  • you're going to be in Eu?
  • I joined......... now do I just log on to the cnpl?
  • Never mind......it says right there..........wait and an email will be sent sorry......... :D
  • Great idea. I will definitely be joinig up in the near future :s:
  • it is a great idea
  • I really think that this is a great oppertunity and I think that everyone should take advantage of it. I don't see any limit to what this will become...hop on the train now and see where it takes us!
  • Very interesting idea, I'll definitely be checking it out further.
  • A very cool idea, Sloth!!
  • But, how will I ever get to 500+ posts?!?!
  • I think I have an idea....
