CPF introduces the CNPL

Well, ok, maybe this link will describe it best

http://www.clickpress.com/releases/Detailed/751005cp.shtml

Ummm...the idea is NOT to segregate the CPF and CNPL, but rather turn a community into a network. There are lots out there who would dismiss CPF as just a message board, so adding elements like CNPL introduce things in a different light.

Also, members who reach 500+ posts automatically are members (if you'd like) although you don't have to partake either. I've litterally only spoken with a handful of individuals on this and opinions range from outright confusion to thinking it's a dumb idea to falling head over heels in love with the concept as a whole. This obviously isn't something that will appeal to everyone but I genuinely think it could go quite well. CNPL will likely require an event manager, and ideally, an 'ambassador' from each province to keep ontop of local events but this could all come down the line.

If you're part of the 500+ post group and are interested after viewing http://www.cnpl.ca then go ahead and register on the forum there. You won't be able to view anything until I've approved it. You'll get a message indicating your account is approved and the member sections will no longer be hidden.

We'll obviously still do this stuff under the CPF umbrella, this is just a different avenue with a different label. Anyway, I hope no one thinks I'm too far out there, post your comments if you'd like on the site.

    correct :)
  • Looking forward to reaching 500 + posts in a somewhat honourable fashion.
  • So, we're scrapping the ScottyZ in the hot tub idea?

    ScottyZ
  • Sounds interesting.

I guess I have to bump up my post production for a week. Post whoring here I come!
  • If you want any assistance working out the details of the league, I'd be happy to lend a hand.
  • Is it $40 or $45? Says both...
  • my mistake, I'll find where it says 40 and change it to $45. I initially had 40 until the shirts and hats came in. :)
  • I for one think this is a fantastic idea, i'm already registered. Do you want our addresses for the shirts/hats? Can't wait to start representing [east coast]

    stp
  • well i think this is a great idea, and just realized i have way more than 500 posts, so count me in. One quick question, i may very well be out of the country for the next few months, possibly year on business. will i still be able to participate, since online tournaments would be my focus at that point ...

You can 'REPRESENT!" the ex-pat contingent. Along with Harthgosh.

I gotta get those posts up...
  • i like this idea
hopefully ill have 500 posts sometime around april 2006
  • How about a discount for the 200+ club?
  • let's see...180 posts to go...10 forum topics...hmmm...1 post/topic a night = 18 nights until FREE membership!!!

ahh hell, for all the work that's being put into this, what's $45?!?
it'll save everyone from having to sift thru pages and pages of people trying to up their post counts too
  • come on. Have some ambition. Show some initiative. Pick a fight with someone and those 180 will go fast ...
  • over at CNPL there's no reply buttons ???

i must be missing something ???
  • i also noticed their members only section has now left the public arena...confusedone, even without reply buttons, i bet you'll be over 500 posts over there by the end of the day :D

    york: you suck!!

time for me to get lost :D
    i'll be back :c:
  • Interesting idea. Not sure about the 40 bucks, but I shall give it some thought.
  • Sorry, I want to clarify something.

500 posts here at pokerforum result in a free membership @ www.cnpl.ca not 500 posts over there.

It won't be an offer that is around FOREVER, but it will be around for awhile at least :) I promise not to remove the offer unitl CNPL has at least 50 members or so.
  • if that clarification was because of what i said to CO, i just grabbed that number out of the air...but good to point that out, because i may have inadvertantly confused some people.
