(K/W) The Compound - WSOP Warm-up - $60 NLHE - Sat, Jul 8th

Hey everyone!

It's time to celebrate the start of the 2017 WSOP, so we're going to host a WSOP Warm-up tournament. Same starting chips. (50,000) Same blinds (slightly less time on the blind levels, of course!), same level of play.. maybe. :)

It's a $60 tournament that will start at 1pm. We'll have a BBQ available for the dinner break and every 5 levels (just like the WSOP, we'll celebrate advancing another day, and re-draw seats.)

Super deep, super fun, and slightly more than a regular tournament. Cash games will start as players bust out

Message me if you need the address of the new place!

Cheers!!
Bristol Street Poker at the Compound presents...

:s::h: THE COMPOUND WSOP WARM-UP - JULY 2017 :c::d:
NLHE Tournament
Sat, Jul 8th - 1:00pm
(doors open at 12:30pm)

$60 Buy-in - 24 player max.
(we will accommodate more if there's interest)

$$$ Pay-outs $$$
1st place - 50%
2nd place - 25%
3rd place - 15%
4th place - 10%

(Note: Top 3 payout with less than 17 players, Top 2 with a single table, Top 5 with more than 24)

Each player will receive 50,000 chips for their $60 buy-in. Late reg is fine, if seats are available.

Late players: If you know you're going to be late, please phone and a seat and chips will be set out for you and you will post blinds and fold until you arrive. Players that are late that haven't let me know will give up their seat to the next player on the waiting list. If there's no one left on the waiting list, late players may buy into the tournament during the first 5 levels (~2.5 hours), but must immediately post the big and small blind if the blinds have passed them.

Waiting List players: Players on the waiting list will fill no shows at the start of the tournament to a maximum of 24. The remaining players on the waiting list are alternates. During the first four levels, when a player busts out, you have the option of joining the tournament at that point with a starting chip stack.

The tournament will last approximately 11-12 hours. Seating is limited to 24 players with alternates. (8 max tables) Please reserve your seat in advance!! The final table will form with 9 players left. \\

If there's interest, I'll reach out to the community to up the total # of players

Blind schedule, chip values, rules, etc, etc, will be posted at my place, or you may msg me for specifics.

As always, tournaments at Bristol Street are rake-free!!

  • According to the people sitting on a stoop at the house where my car was parked, the power outage was caused by a squirrel that chewed through the wires, electrocuting itself and narrowly missing my vehicle as it fell to the ground.
  • Thanks to everyone that came out for a fun day of poker even through a power outage with 6 remaining. Full results to come soon!
  • Heard on 570News radio about a power outage in Cambridge caused by a squirrel. You guys are famous!
  • Thanks for having us & hosting. It was a fun day of poker, especially playing during the blackout.
