im in, online any site it dosnt matter to me
live is a little tricky as i live is the point farthest from the center of the universe.
but if we were to do regional qualifiers live i am more than capable of hosting such an event.
as long as we can agree on the same structure.
Here is a concept I have been working on that fits into your idea but on a much larger scale. Check it out. www.pokerfamilynetwork.com
Nice idea but waaaaaaaaaaaaaay too expensive for me. Good luck getting it going. You should include how you are going to handle less than 1000 members. I would think there are going to be some trust issues with someone holding onto $1M at the start of the year.
Nice FrontPage template. I use the same one for my website!

is it me or it says you have to be a resident of the United States
It is actually more geared to Canadians. The only reference to the U.S is that you will need to be 21 to participate as most of the land based tournaments are in the U.S and the age restriction is 21.
Another idea to throw out there since we still are a fairly young board. Instead of going for the Main Event this year, what about winning a way into Event #1 with a 3-4 day Stay in Vegas. The tournout to Event #1 in '04 was almost the same number as the tournout for the Main Event in '03
With a $1500 US buy in, that would make the cost of buy-in/hotel/flight at, what, $3000 Cdn?
If we held a $150 buy in event, that means we'd be able to send 1 person to Event#1 for every 20 participants.

If you are canvassing online sites to find out that wants to host us and maybe kick in a few bucks.. How about if we propse to move our member tournaments over to that site too? Any poker site would be happy to add money if it's going to bring regular rake generators over...
You can setup a freeroll for between $10 to $20 dollars for 50 to 200 ppl. Money could be transfered to a trustees online poker accounts through various sites which would be no cost and then they can be the trustee for the tourney. I am willing to volunteer my services I have accounts on mostly every site. (how sad is that).
I looked into some package pricing and you will be looking at $1,300 CDN for a week from Toronto. Probably cheaper out of Vancouver if there is a west coast winner.
Therefore entry into a $1500 US will be about $2,800 US for the package leaving a bit of spending money to the winners.
Be nice to send six ppl two for each event #2 #3 and #4 = cost of $16,800 US.
Looking at a $85 buyin with 200 ppl. You might be able to hold a couple sats to the main one for less buy in.
