George Herbert Walker Bush was the 41st President of the United States. He was also a war hero, awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross for actions in WW2. Head of the CIA, Vice President of the United States under Reagan, and therefore head of NASA.
Have some amazing Gavin stories. He played at our big cash game a few times. We had some big fun together and after the first time came he would only come if was there because we would bet on the hockey games.
but totally not what you are thinking. First time he wanted to bet $100 bucks on random face off draws...... we would look up at the screen and if there was a face off he would pick one team and I would have the other. The second time we ended up betting on the woman’s first round of the ice hockey championships by picking if an odd or even number of the players that would score the next goal......that was $500 a goal.
last time was we searched every channel and couldn’t find anything but a re-run of a lacrosse game and he thought I knew the outcome so we did red or black flops for $50 each with $100 if you swept 3 out of 3 on the flop.
we also drank so much that I never drove home after those nights. That guy could drink.
He he was a sincere guy and honest too....... nothing fake about him.
Steve, SeektheGrail, played/travelled with Gavin a lot.
I sure did back in the 90s and Gavin was able to start with the roving charity casino $10-$20 limit HoldEm grind and take a shot at a few tournaments at Foxwoods in 1999 and 2000 which he won and caught the eye of Miami John Cernuto and Eric Lindgren and the rest is history with his move to Vegas!
I recall Gavin convincing a bunch of us to signup and deposit some money on one of the original online poker sites "Planet Poker" that only ran limit HoldEm and there was this crazy guy nicknamed "Birdguts" on there that followed the rule of I will see every un-raised flop then evaluate. Turned out it was of course Gavin experimenting even then with a unique playing style!

He and I took that trip to playground together, where he crushed it, but we lost touch after he moved out of Erin. Great guy.
Im pretty sure his kids would all be teenagers now.
Very sad.
If you’re in touch with his ppl, please give them my sympathies.
