  • Does anybody want to buy my ticket for tomorrow's sold-out 1 PM tournament at Casino Rama? Contact or PM me ASAP before I try to get a refund, which is what happened to my GBH entry last Wednesday. While I was battling at the final table at the $128,000 CNE Casino Semi-Finals, I found out that several players had been looking to buy for the sold-out GBH.
  • Monoxide, is it true that the Rama cash game players are pissed off that the BBJ collection is being put in the same box as the rake? I've been noticing Rama-only players playing in other casinos lately. The BBJ rules state
    "The Bad Beat and the Reserve Jackpots are calculated as a percentage of the entire rake for the day"
    but that percentage is not even stated, and could easily result in a lot more than 10% of the true BBJ pot going to the House.

    The worst part of illegal clubs having a BB or High Hand jackpots is that you can't trust the true jackpot amount since there is no way to see how much is taken out by the House, so I'm surprised that Rama is using an unspecified and arbitrary percentage that the players don't trust.

    ... Anyway it was just stupid and should never happen in a tourney, i personally wasnt too affected as say, the bb, so i didnt mind the 2 round penalty it seemed fair. But im not a floorman. They did lose many chips during the penalty so while they could move up the money, their chances of cashing big got crushed.

    Bad Beat Jackpot == Theft

    There are no auditing procedures for the BBJ that I know about.
  • Yeah, its a mystery number kind of unknown to everyone. I have no idea how they determine how much goes to BBJP.
  • Anybody else going to Casino Rama's final tournament of the year?
    I want to ask about the BBJ %.

  • Anybody know if Rama still has these biweekly tournaments? If so how are they. I've never done a live tourney before but I'm thinking of taking a stab at one of these
    Bumped for Cleanoutkid asking about Rama. All 80 seats were sold out today as usual, with 9-12 tables being busy all day long on a Monday. :o

    Since it will probably sell out again, I have already bought for the next tournament on February 8. If anybody I know is thinking of playing this or February 22 tournament, please PM me or talk to me at Fallsview, King of the Cards, The Dog House, OPT, etc. Feb. 22 is in conflict with WPT Fallsview events so I will probably be unable to play at Rama.
